Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Fixed a bug that caused the Native subtype to be applied inappropriately to some creatures, causing them to need food and sleep where they ordinarily shouldn't.
Initial implementation of the Abilities system, a sister to the Types system, which handles both passive and activated special effects both derived innately from a creature's types as well as on an individual basis.
With the /abilities command these effects can be added, removed, or edited on any specific creature, including players who are able to bind specific activated effects to keybindings or use them simply through a menu accessible with a separate keybinding. Please note that this feature is EXTREMELY work-in-progress, particularly in regards to the HUD visuals, but the abilities presently available are functional as-intended.
Abilities currently available:
- Breath weapon (Highly configurable but defaults to 16m cone of fire)
- Explosion (Creeper-style self-destruct, complete with lingering potion effects and lightning charging)
- Ghost Form (Toggled Incorporeality)
- Dimension Door (Point-and-click teleportation)
- Hearthstone (Teleport to your spawn point)
- Blind (Prevents most rendering, leaving you with very little to navigate by. Glowing creatures are still visible however)
- Blindsight (Makes partially-visible creatures glow, so you can see them even with Blind or Blindness active)
- Resistance/Damage Reduction/Damage Resistance (A triplicate of ways to customise how and when you take damage)
- Heat (Passively adds fire damage both to your attacks and as a Thorns-type ability)
- Incorporeality (The effect of the Incorporeal subtype, now as its own ability)
- Invisibility (Passive Invisibility)
- Status Effect (Invisibility, but configurable to provide other effects)
Known Bugs:
Client-side mixin failure, causing client-side visual effects to be inoperative, such as the Blind and Blindsight abilities.
Server failure at launch.
