ADDED:

  • The Lich Tower Rework!
  • A large-scale rework of the Lich detailed fully at the bottom of this changelog (it's waaaay too long!).
  • New items:
    • Exanimate Essence
      • Used for placing Ominous Fire and an alternative for recharging scepters.
    • Crown Splinter
    • Mystic Crown
      • Slightly enhances scepter attributes.
    • Brittle Potion Flask
      • Stores three potion doses. Breaks.

      • Stores three potion doses. Doesn't break.

  • Can only be obtained by uncrafting blocks made of wrought iron. Used only to craft said wrought iron blocks.

  • Added a new enchantment called Renewal. It can be put on scepters to make them automatically recharge if the required items are in your inventory.
  • Added a new advancement: Full Mettle Alchemist.
  • Added crafting recipes for the Canopy Window and Canopy Window Pane blocks and removed their WIP status.
  • Added three new Naga Courtyard terraces and touched up the existing ones.
  • New developer commands! If you're the kind of person that likes poking at dev toys:
    • `/twilightforest sinister_spawner` subtree containing 4 commands for changing data in a Sinister Spawner block. These commands are helpers for setting its particles and loot table.
    • `/twilightforest structure_util` subtree containing 5 commands for structure development utility:
    • `/twilightforest structure_util display_pieces <filter_structure>` generates block display entities distorted to fit each structure piece. All accompanied with labels for piece IDs.
    • `/twilightforest structure_util generator_radius <filter_structure>` generates a grid of block display entities to match the chunks that the filtered nearby structure overlaps, for measuring.
    • `/twilightforest structure_util clear_display` clears all display entities generated by the 2 above commands. Proxy for two `/kill` commands with specific entity filters.
    • `/twilightforest structure_util count_loot <filter_structure>` Rolls every unopened loot table in a structure and then counts each item from every containers' inventories in the structure.
    • `/twilightforest structure_util count_template <filter_structure>` Counts each template used by the pieces in the structure.

 

CHANGED:

  • Changed the Death Tome's health from 30 to 20.
  • Changed the chain links on the Block and Chain to appear to be coming out of the player instead of coming out of the block part.
  • Updated compat for the Tips mod.
  • Separated Mining Core and Ore Magnet blacklists into separate tags.
  • Optimized `getTerrainColumn()`, leading to faster worldgen.
  • Optimized `LazyArea` for multithreading, resulting in faster worldgen on systems with many cores and threads.
  • Fallen Trunk changes:
    • Changed the Fallen Trunk mound shape, to only have one on each side, and their position to have a bias towards the middle of the trunk.
    • Changed the terrain around the Fallen Trunk to be more flat.
    • Changed the big Fallen Trunks to have a longer minimum length. It was cold outside, alright?
    • Changed the eroded ends to be shorter. It was 3, now it's 2.
    • Thorn Roses and Thorn Leaves when dropped will no longer be destroyed upon touching Thorns.

 

FIXED:

  • Fixed the Carminite golem's left shoulder having the wrong offset.
  • Fixed a dupe bug.
  • Fixed the Block and Chain's chain links not rendering if the block part is out of view.
  • Fixed the chain links on the Block and Chain to connect to the center of the block part instead of the lower edge.
  • Fixed the Block and Chain's block part turning to face you when being pulled back.
  • Fixed the Knight Stronghold surface ruins' height.
  • Fixed log spam related to terraformer and painting generators.
  • Fixed potential compat race condition involving Gamerule registration.
  • Fixed null blockstate crash during generation of mazes such as the Labyrinth.
  • Fixed missing magic cores on Timewood and Miningwood trees.
  • Fixed chest boats using the wrong names.
  • Fixed Beanstalk blocks not being flammable.
  • Fixed performance issues with rendering bugs and Braziers.
  • Fixed a performance issue from baking layers every frame for Knightmetal, Phantom, Arctic, Yeti, and Fiery armor.
  • Fixed a bug where Fallen Trunks could generate inside Druid Huts and other features.
  • The armor model cache now resets on resource reloading.
  • Fixed Chill Aura applying the Frosted effect for 4000 ticks (over 3 minutes) instead of 200 ticks (10 seconds).

 

Twilight Lich Rework:

  • Renamed the Lich back to Twilight Lich.
  • Fixed the Lich's manlet status from previous porting errors.
  • Adjusted the visuals of the Lich's shadow clones in various ways like making their eyes glow and other touchups.
  • Un-hardcoded some of the Lich's values and turned them into attributes:
    • The amount of shadow clones the Lich can have is now in the `clone_count` attribute.
    • The amount of shields the Lich spawns in with is now in the `max_shield_strength` attribute.
    • The amount of zombie minions the Lich spawns before entering phase 3 is now in the `minion_count` attribute.
  • The Lich can now spawn baby zombie minions on hard. They've been removed from all other difficulties.
    • The maximum amount of baby zombies is proportional to the `minion_count` attribute at 1/3 of its value.
  • Changed the Lich's casting particles to glow in the dark.
  • Changed projectiles from the Lich and Scepter of Twilight to glow in the dark.
  • Changed the Lich to use the same sound effects a player does when using his scepters.
  • The Lich will now deflect any Scepter of Twilight bolts that are fired at it during phases 2 and 3.
  • The Lich will no longer randomly pause all movement during phase 3.
  • The Lich will now spawn in holding a Scepter of Fortification and produce it's sound as it gears up.
  • The Lich now has a higher likelihood to teleport away after each successful attack on him during phases 2 and 3.
    • During phase 2, the odds are: 1/3, then 2/3, and lastly 3/3.
    • During phase 3, the odds are: 1/6, then 2/6, then 3/6, etc..
    • After the teleportation, the odds are reset.
    • The odds are 0 if the Lich is killed in the attack.
  • The Lich once again strafes during phase 2 like he used to.
  • When teleporting, the Lich makes sure it's at least a few blocks away from his target.
  • When teleporting, the Lich will make sure to not teleport too far away from his initial spawn position.
  • The Lich should now more consistently teleport away if he is somehow stuck.
  • The Lich's zombie minions will once again be buffed with Speed and Strength when hit by the Lich's projectiles.
  • The Lich will now convert nearby Candelabras and Candles when first spawning in to be ominously lit and re-lights them to normal upon death.
  • The Lich will now produce particles that match the color of the Scepter of Life Draining when consuming his own minions.
  • The Lich will now destroy any Lich shadow clone that is somehow still present upon his death.
  • The Lich now creates purple flame particles instead of the usual Endermen ones when teleporting.
  • The Lich shadow clones now have scary evil red eyes that glow in the dark.
  • During phase 3, the Lich will now lower his left arm to appear less zombie-like.
  • Lich shadow clones no longer have shadows.
  • Lich shadow clones now leave smoke particles when teleporting.
  • The Lich death animation is now slightly longer.
  • Fortification shields now leave particles behind when destroyed. The particle is named `shield_break`.
  • Lich bombs now count as explosive damage.
  • Lich bombs will no longer destroy dropped items.
  • Lich bombs will no longer alter the trajectory of other Lich bombs when exploding.
  • Lich bombs now properly track the source of damage when applying it.
  • The Lich and his shadow clones will now briefly disappear when teleporting.
  • Updated the golden parts on the Lich's texture to have some depth.
