A Home Worth Returning To

Your adventures now visibly change the frontier camp. Completing Hearthward opens a functional workshop with an anvil, smithing table and lamps. Pathfinders opens a cartography desk and lantern post. Raise your project through J → Region. Friends can build both projects; existing blocks, inventories and occupying entities stop construction. Completed projects never regenerate after player edits.

Your choice also opens a home-region quest. Hearthward establishes a lit campfire refuge and crafting station near your recorded home. Pathfinders surveys separate east and west routes from a fixed home origin. Return to camp for three reclaimed fragments once and a longer utility ability: fifteen seconds with the same thirty-second cooldown.

Existing equipment upgrades, the six-stage chapter, positional two-phase boss, optional expedition risks and personal co-op progress remain. The update adds no dependency, encounter actor or boss health increase. Each camp project has ten blocks; refuge inspection reads at most seventy-five nearby loaded positions only when requested. Performance has not been benchmarked.

Compatibility: Minecraft Java 1.21.1, Fabric, Java 21, Fabric API required. Install matching versions on client and server. Back up your entire stopped world before upgrading. Alpha.6 commissions and utilities persist; new settlement and home-region fields start empty. Construction is explicit, so old worlds are not automatically rebuilt. Downgrading upgraded saves is unsupported.

Verification: the final gameplay JAR passed 22 headless Minecraft GameTests across 16 suites, 1,557 domain assertions and five backed-up save-fault checks. Tests cover real construction, filled-chest preservation, reward replay refusal, both branch objectives, and physical structures/player edits surviving separate JVMs.

Alpha limits: full graphical survival playthrough, two independently connected clients, human pacing and ordinary-computer FPS/TPS/memory remain unaccepted. Embedded test channels are not real multiplayer clients. Vanilla character/enemy bodies remain placeholder visuals. Chunk, player-file and world-ledger writes are not proven as one power-loss transaction. Home-region structures are built by players using normal materials; only the Archive camp is changed by the mod.
