Description
Refit Survey
See what a renovation will disturb before you tear it down.
Craft a survey card, hold your replacement sample in the offhand and click two corners of a wall, floor or other flat rectangle up to 16×16. Get a live-world block census, flags for block entities and water, and a conservative material subtotal for supported replacements. No schematic, commands or extra keybinds needed.
- Exact source counts by block ID: cells, not recovered drops.
- Same-family plain-block, stair and slab estimates; double slabs count as two items.
- Compare supported item needs with matching main-inventory/offhand supplies.
- Fluid/waterlogged blocks, block entities and unsupported mappings are excluded from the subtotal, never silently treated as safe.
- Read-only: never breaks, replaces or consumes blocks; no forced chunk loading.
Craft with paper top/left/right, copper center, cyan dye below. Sneak-click resets selection. The whole rectangle must be loaded; clicks respect block reach. Choose non-interactive corners when a chest or machine handles right-click itself.
This is a renovation audit, not an automatic exchanger or placement/drop guarantee. Air is ignored; modded/complex state mappings are not estimated. No support, redstone or neighbor simulation.
Install on both client and server: Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge, Java 21. No external mod required. No 26.3 release available yet; graphical validation for that target is not completed.
New beta; bugs may remain. This exact release passed 271 pure-core checks, 30 installed-server QA checks and production-only boot/stop. A bounded actual 1.21.1 singleplayer graphical test checked card rendering/tooltip, two-corner census, material shortage, block-entity/fluid risk flags, reset and read-only behavior. Recipe crafting in the GUI, multiplayer, every shape/state, narrow resolutions, custom fonts and broad modpack compatibility are not exhaustively tested.
Credits, reused foundations, and license
Refit Survey is by RickCode, released under the MIT License.
It adapts MIT-licensed registration and item-selection foundations from RickCode's Grade Stakes. Grade Stakes plans construction rise/run schedules between stakes; Refit Survey instead audits a selected flat rectangle for existing block counts, renovation risks, supported replacement materials and inventory shortages. It does not reproduce Grade Stakes' stake/cord grade planner or particle layout feature.
Its bounded, read-only census approach also draws on RickCode's MIT-licensed Field Tally. Field Tally reports crop stages and farmland conditions through a command; Refit Survey uses a crafted two-corner survey card for renovation planning, with block-entity/fluid warnings and conservative same-family replacement subtotals.
The renovation audit logic and geometric artwork are original to Refit Survey. No competitor code or artwork was copied. Minecraft and NeoForge are required, not redistributed; applicable upstream infrastructure licensing remains intact. Not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft.
