Description
Handoff Tray
Leave supplies for one teammate, without turning your base into a mailbox network.
Handoff Tray adds a small physical tray with three real supply slots. Place it, open its menu, choose an online player and seal it. That player walks over and claims the supplies. The tray shows a simple collection receipt afterward.
- Normal container menu; no commands or extra keybinds.
- Recipients identified by UUID, not name alone.
- Sender can cancel an unclaimed handoff.
- Collection is all-or-nothing: a full inventory leaves every supply in the tray.
- Names, enchantments, damage and other components are preserved.
- Hoppers cannot insert or extract supplies.
Put supplies in the top-center three slots and hover the named controls underneath. Click the name tag to cycle online recipients, honeycomb to seal, chest to claim, and shears to cancel or reset a completed tray. The book shows state and receipt.
Coordination, not theft protection: breaking the tray drops its current supplies into the world, where normal destruction/despawn applies. No remote mail, currency, recovery, lending ledger or global delivery log.
Compatibility and beta status
Install on both client and server: Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge, Java 21. No other mod required. No 26.3 download is available yet; its client validation is not completed.
New beta; bugs may remain. Pure conservation and exact-JAR dedicated-server behavior/restart checks passed. This 1.21.1 artifact additionally passed two actual Minecraft-client network tests covering online recipient selection, sealing, permissions, full inventory, control-click/drag resynchronization, range, cancellation, disconnect/reconnect, component-preserving collection, repeated-claim denial and world-drop conservation. Actual tray model, menu and tooltip were visually checked. Separate QA addons drove controlled test interactions and are not shipped. Testing is not exhaustive; dedicated explosion and third-party modpack compatibility are not claimed.
