Forge • NeoForge • Fabric • Quilt | 1.12.2 → 26.3
The shared library of the OG mods. OG Core holds the code that every OG mod needs: the parts of Minecraft that changed between versions, and the settings files in your config folder. One copy of it in your mods folder serves all of them, and a fix made there reaches every mod at once.
It adds nothing to the game on its own: no blocks, no items, no recipes, no commands. Install it when an OG mod asks for it (the CurseForge app does that for you).
Mods that need it
- Chiseleded OG: a chisel with over 2,000 decorative blocks
- Graves OG: your items wait in a grave where you died
- Tweaks OG: small quality-of-life fixes
- Timber OG: fell whole trees and mine whole veins
- Sort OG: one-key inventory sorting
- Magnet OG: items and experience come to you
- Hammers OG: 3x3 hammers and excavators
- Trash & Crates OG: a trash can and crates that keep their contents
- Elevator OG: jump up, sneak down
- Portable OG: workstations in your pocket
Details
- 📦 Tiny: a few KB of code, with nothing running in the background.
- 🌐 Either side: install it wherever the OG mod that needs it is installed. A client or server without it can still connect to one that has it.
- ⚙️ Same settings everywhere: every OG mod keeps its settings in a plain
config/<mod>.propertiesfile, with a comment above each line, that reads the same on every loader and version. - 🧩 Every version: Forge 1.12.2 to 26.3, NeoForge 1.20.4 to 26.3 and Fabric/Quilt 1.16.5 to 26.3. Pick the file for your loader and Minecraft version.
FAQ
Do I need it? Only if you play an OG mod: from these versions on, they ask for it and refuse to start without it.
Can I use it in my modpack? Yes. It's MIT licensed, like the OG mods.
