Jump to go up, sneak to go down. Elevator OG adds elevator blocks in all 16 colours. Put one on every floor of your base, stand on one and jump to be carried to the next elevator above, any distance up. Sneak to drop to the one below. There are no keys to bind, no fuel and no wiring. If you don't like the look, sneak + right-click an elevator with any full block and it hides as that block and still works.

Three jumps, three floors.

- ⬆️ Jump while standing on an elevator: you go up to the next elevator above it, as far up as it is (384 blocks by default).
- ⬇️ Sneak while standing on an elevator: you go down to the next one below. One tap is one floor, and holding the key doesn't keep dropping you.
- 🧱 Floors in between don't matter. The elevators don't have to be in a clear shaft. Ceilings, floors and walls between them are fine.
- 🪶 Safe landings: an elevator without room above it for a player to stand (a block on top, a low ceiling) is skipped, and you go on to the next one. Carpets, pressure plates and snow on top are fine.
- 🎯 You keep your spot on the block, unless something is in the way at the other end, and then you land in the middle.
- ✨ A teleport sound and a puff of portal particles on every ride (they can be turned off).

Sneak, sneak, sneak: back on the ground.

Don't want a coloured block in the middle of your floor? Sneak + right-click an elevator with a full block (stone bricks, planks, glass, quartz, ore, anything solid) and the elevator becomes that block. One block is used up. It looks exactly like the real thing, because it is the real thing, with shaders, resource packs and connected textures included. It still takes you up and down like any other elevator.
- 🙌 Sneak + right-click with an empty hand to turn it back into an elevator. You get the block back.
- ⛏️ Break a disguised elevator and you get both the elevator and the block.
- 🚫 Blocks with a screen or storage (chests, furnaces…), falling blocks (sand, gravel), non-full blocks and blocks that change on their own can't be used as a disguise.
- 💾 The server remembers where the disguised elevators are (in the world's
datafolder).

Hidden as stone bricks, uncovered, hidden again as glowstone.

An elevator comes in all 16 dye colours, and you can re-dye one any time by crafting it with a dye. Colours are just for looks unless you turn on sameColorOnly. Then an elevator only rides to elevators of its own colour, so two shafts can share a column without connecting.

Elevator: eight wool of one colour around an ender pearl gives an elevator of that colour.

Re-dyeing: any elevator and any dye, anywhere in the crafting grid.

You'll find all 16 in the Functional Blocks tab in creative (Transportation on 1.12.2).

Everything can be changed in config/elevatorog.properties (created on the first start, with a comment on each line):

- Install it on the client and the server: it adds blocks, so both sides need it. In single player just add it to your mods.
- The riding runs on the server with the game's normal jump and sneak, and the mod sends no packets of its own, so it works the same in single player and on servers.
- Works with Sodium, Iris and shader packs (the screenshots below use Complementary Reimagined). Disguises are real blocks, so they render like any other block.
- Every version is tested in-game before release with the real jump and sneak keys. The tests ride up and down a column, skip a blocked elevator, check
sameColorOnlyandrange, make sure a teleport away doesn't count as a jump, land on a carpet next to a wall, break an elevator, and disguise, ride, uncover and break a disguised one. Every version also boots on a dedicated server. - MIT License: use it in any modpack.
