Your workstations, in your pocket. Portable OG adds portable versions of eight workstations: the crafting table, ender chest, anvil, smithing table, stonecutter, loom, cartography table and grindstone. Right-click one in your hand and its screen opens wherever you are, deep in a mine, on a boat or halfway up a build. No block to place and nothing to break and pick back up. They're the game's own screens, so recipes, the recipe book and inventory mods work in them as usual.

• 🖐️ Right-click to open, from either hand. The screen stays open however far you get carried: in a minecart, on a boat, in a fall. A block's screen closes once you're more than a few blocks away.
• 🧳 One per slot, small enough to carry a whole workshop in your hotbar.
• 🔊 Each one makes a little sound as it opens, and the ender chest makes its own sounds.

An anvil block has a 12% chance on every use to get worn a step, from intact to chipped to damaged to broken. The portable anvil does the same: it has three uses' worth of durability, each use has the same 12% chance to cost one, and when the last one goes it breaks with the anvil's sound and the screen closes. So it lasts about as long as a placed anvil, and in creative it never wears. The chance can be changed in the config, or set to 0 so it never wears out.

Every portable workstation is the workstation block and one piece of leather (for the carrying strap), anywhere in the crafting grid.

You'll find them all in the Tools & Utilities tab in creative (Tools on older versions).

Everything can be changed in config/portableog.properties (created on the first start, with a comment on each line):

• Install it on the client and the server: it adds items, so both sides need it. In single player just add it to your mods.
• On 1.12.2 there are the crafting table, ender chest and anvil (the other workstations came later). Before 1.20 the smithing table is the old one, with no templates.
• The screens are the game's own, so what works in a workstation's screen (the recipe book, recipe viewers, sorting buttons) should work in the portable one too.
• Works with Sodium, Iris and shader packs (the screenshots below use Complementary Reimagined).
• Every version is tested in-game before release: each workstation is opened with a real right-click, its server menu and client screen are checked, and then it gets used. The crafting table crafts, stays open after the player is moved 40 blocks away and hands back the grid when closed. The ender chest shows its contents, the anvil renames and wears out until it breaks, the smithing table upgrades, the stonecutter cuts and the grindstone grinds off an enchantment. Every version also boots on a dedicated server.
