Changelog

Ghostworks-2026.07.30_MC_26.1.2_v4.1.0.jar

Meet the Village Gecko

  • Added the Gecko, a completely new harmless creature that lives around the outer edges of villages.
  • Every village receives its own persistent Gecko, chosen from eight color variants including fern, jade, river, golden, rust, lilac, and ash.
  • A newly encountered Gecko will be chewing on a random vanilla tool or armor piece made from wood, stone, leather, chainmail, gold, or iron.
  • Gecko equipment is always heavily damaged and marked as gnawed, so the encounter cannot provide players with free new equipment.
  • Added the Leaf Worm, an apple-strength food item that has an apple-like chance to drop when leaves are broken. Fortune improves the chance, while Shears and Silk Touch prevent the drop.
  • Right-clicking a Gecko with a Leaf Worm makes it drop the equipment in its mouth and begin chewing the worm instead.
  • Wielding or wearing equipment recovered from a Gecko grants Haste I.
  • Added new old-villager dialogue that introduces the creatures through stories about feeding them, missing village equipment, and sightings near the edge of town.
  • Added a dedicated Gecko spawn egg.
  • The Gecko has a custom low-bodied model, a patterned hide, a sand-colored belly, a long curved tail, animated legs, and a sideways item held across its mouth.

Pixie Botanica

  • Added the Pixie Botanica, a handheld flower-transmutation device.
  • Right-clicking it opens a menu with one slot for Pixie Dust and another for any flower.
  • Players complete a transmutation by connecting dots in the correct shape.
  • Added an in-menu recipe book for browsing flower patterns and Pixie Dust costs.
  • Compatible tagged flowers are discovered automatically, including flowers added by other mods.

Swarmblossom and the Viridian Hive

  • Gave the Swarmblossom its own luminous viridian-and-gold design.
  • Added the Swarmblossom Colossus, a stationary five-block-tall boss that can appear in swamps and mangrove swamps.
  • The Colossus attacks by releasing groups of hostile Viridian Swarm Bees and sends larger swarms when badly wounded.
  • Added the craftable Viridian Hive Staff, which launches four temporary green bees toward a targeted enemy.
  • Added diamond-tier Viridian Hive Armor with a flower crown, layered carapace, honeycomb and petal plating, leaf faulds, rooted boots, and a detailed undersuit.
  • Wearing the complete Viridian Hive Armor set roughly doubles crop growth within a seven-block radius.

Visual Reworks

  • Gave Holy, Leaf, and Starlight Pixie armor distinctive raised in-world models and detailed worn undersuits while preserving their inventory icons.
  • Reworked the Moon-Eater's eyes, jaw animation, and ground alignment.
  • Redesigned the Moon-Eater Staff as a larger 32-pixel crescent-tipped weapon and removed the small center ornament.
  • Added a dedicated Moon-Eater spawn egg.
  • Rebuilt the Petrified Scarecrow with deep three-dimensional eye sockets, recessed ember pupils, a crooked nose, a toothed stitched mouth, layered ribs, straw claws, torn sleeves, and a more threatening hat.
