Catalogue Translation Expansion

Catalogue Translation Expansion is an unofficial localization companion for Catalogue, created to expand and complete its language support across multiple Minecraft versions and mod loaders.

The project adds translations for many languages that are missing or incomplete in the original mod, while preserving existing official Catalogue translations whenever possible.

Features

• Adds support for a large number of real-world languages available in Minecraft.
• Covers multiple generations of Catalogue, from Minecraft 1.16.5 to the latest supported versions.
• Supports Forge, Fabric and NeoForge, depending on the Minecraft and Catalogue version.
• Preserves official Catalogue translations instead of unnecessarily replacing them.
• Keeps formatting placeholders and translation keys compatible with the original mod.
• Reuses translations between versions only when the original English key and meaning are unchanged.
• Excludes novelty or fictional languages and most regional variants for now.
• Client-side only: no gameplay content, blocks, items, mobs or mechanics are added.

AI-assisted translations

Some translations in this project are created or assisted using artificial intelligence.

AI-generated translations are not simply added without verification. The project uses automated quality checks to verify:

• JSON validity
• Translation keys
• Formatting placeholders such as %s
• Compatibility between different Catalogue versions
• Translation reuse between versions
• Resource and mod metadata compatibility

For languages where a reliable translation cannot currently be produced, the project may temporarily keep the original English text rather than intentionally publishing an inaccurate translation.

AI-assisted translations may also be improved over time through community feedback and human corrections.

Compatibility

Catalogue Translation Expansion supports different generations of Catalogue starting from Minecraft 1.16.5.

Supported mod loaders include:

• Forge
• Fabric
• NeoForge

Loader availability depends on the Minecraft version.

Catalogue is required for this project to work.

Download the file corresponding to your Minecraft version and mod loader.
