Yo, What is up guys?
Listen up, Minecraft survival players. We all know the drill. You start a new world, you build a nice little base, you get some decent iron or diamond armor, and suddenly the night time is just not scary anymore. You just sleep through the night or casually one-shot zombies outside your door. It gets boring, right? I felt the exact same way. I wanted something that actually forces you to sweat, something that makes you scared of the dark again.
So, I spent hours building this ultimate Blood Moon add-on. This is not just a simple mob spawner; this is a full-blown survival horror event that changes how you play the game completely.
The 7th Night Curse
Here is how the core system works. You play your game normally for six days. You mine, you farm, you build. But the moment the sun goes down on the 7th day, everything changes. The sky turns dark, an insane explosion sound plays, and a massive red warning pops up on your screen: The Blood Moon Rises.
From that moment until dawn, you are not the hunter anymore; you are the prey. The add-on tracks your in-game days perfectly in the background. You will even get warnings a couple of days before so you can craft arrows, repair your swords, and brace yourself for absolute chaos.
The 10 Phases of Pure Hell
I did not want to just spam regular zombies for 10 minutes, because that is boring. Instead, I designed a custom 10-phase difficulty system that scales as the night gets deeper.
Phase 1 starts off easy, just a warm-up with regular zombies and skeletons to get your blood pumping. But as the clock ticks, the phases change. Around Phase 4 and 5, you will be swarmed by creepers, husks, and drowned.
By Phase 7, the Witching Hour begins, and you have to deal with annoying witches throwing potions and phantoms diving from the sky.
But if you survive until Phase 10? Bro, I literally called it Hell Unleashed. The system starts spawning massive Ravagers and dual-wielding Piglin Brutes right in the overworld, right outside your base. It is a complete warzone. You have to use your brain, your blocks, and your best gear to survive.
The Virtual Mob Coin Economy
Now, why would you risk your life fighting instead of just digging a hole and hiding? Because I added a custom virtual economy to reward the absolute chads who fight. Every single mob you kill during the Blood Moon instantly gives you Mob Coins. I made it a virtual currency so your inventory does not get filled up with useless junk items.
A basic zombie gives you 3 coins, but if you manage to take down a massive Ravager, boom, that is 20 coins straight to your account. And it gets better. If you go on massive kill streaks, the game recognizes you. Hitting 10, 25, 50, or 100 kills during a single Blood Moon triggers milestone bonuses. If you hit 100 kills, you literally get the Demon Slayer title and a massive 250 coin bonus.
Custom UI and Stats Tracking
Since the coins are virtual, I had to build a clean way for you to track your grind. Grab a regular vanilla book, sneak, and right-click or use it. This instantly opens up the VOXELBRO Blood Moon Dashboard.
This custom UI is insane. It tells you exactly what day it is, how many days are left until the next Blood Moon, and your total coin balance. You can check your all-time stats, like how many total moons you have survived, your highest kill record in a single night, and your average kills. There is also a built-in shop menu where you can claim free daily coins every 10 minutes. I am planning to add crazy weapon upgrades in this shop in future updates, so start stacking those coins now.
Action Bar and Multiplayer
You will never be confused during the fight. I coded a real-time action bar that stays at the bottom of your screen during the event. It shows you exactly what phase you are in, how many kills you currently have, and the exact minutes and seconds left until dawn.
And yes, this works flawlessly on SMP servers and multiplayer realms. The Blood Moon event triggers for everyone online at the exact same time. Mobs will spawn around every single player in the overworld. Imagine standing back-to-back with your friends, screaming for backup while 15 Nether mobs rush you in the middle of a forest. It is the most fun you will ever have in multiplayer.
Important Note for Installation
Like my other advanced projects, this pack relies heavily on custom scripts to track the time, phases, and virtual money. You absolutely must turn on the Beta APIs experiment in your world settings before loading the pack. If you ignore this step, the 7th night will just be a normal, boring night.
