What is up, Minecraft survival grinders? We have all seen the classic One Block maps floating around the internet. They are fun for a bit, but honestly, they get boring way too fast.
There is no real threat, no progression system, and you just sit there holding the left click for hours on end. I got completely sick of that basic gameplay, so I decided to code something way more hardcore and engaging. Enter VOXELBRO VoidBlock.
This is not just about breaking a block; it is about surviving the void, fighting massive bosses, and pushing your limits to ascend. You spawn high in the sky with nothing but a single Rift Block in front of you. Break it, gather resources, and try not to fall. But trust me, the game fights back.
The 10 Sectors of Hell
I built a massive progression system coded straight into the map logic. You do not just mine random blocks forever. The game is divided into 10 distinct sectors, and each one lasts for exactly 500 blocks. You start in Sector 1: Overgrowth, getting basic wood, dirt, and leaves. But as you mine, you will push through the Lithosphere, Cryozone, Arid Wastes, and the Canopy.
Things get really sweaty when you hit the Abyss, Inferno, and the Bastion. Finally, you reach the Void End and the ultimate Singularity sector. Every time you enter a new sector, the block types change, the difficulty spikes, and new hostile mobs will start spawning right on top of your block.
The Rift Guardians
This is where the add-on gets truly brutal. You cannot just mine in peace. At the end of every single sector, the rift locks down entirely and a Rift Guardian boss spawns. We are talking about Infected Guardians, Frost Wardens, the Inferno King, and the Wither Commander. When a boss is active, the rift block literally cannot be broken. The script stops you.
You are forced to grab whatever weapons you have crafted, fight the boss on your tiny island, and kill it to unlock the next sector. If you survive all the way to block 5000, you have to face The Void Dragon itself.
Loot, Chests, and Lucky Drops
To help you survive this absolute chaos, I coded a dynamic loot system. Every time you break a block, there is a calculated chance for it to drop common, uncommon, or rare items based on your current sector. I also added a special 5 percent Lucky Drop chance, which means the block might randomly spit out a high-tier item like diamonds or enchanted gear when you least expect it.
On top of that, Void Chests will spawn every few hundred blocks filled with bonus loot to keep your progression moving fast.
The Void Link Compass
Forget typing annoying commands in the chat to check your stats. When you spawn in, you get a custom item called the Void Link Compass. Just hold it and use it to open a massive custom UI menu on your screen. From this menu, you can track exactly how many blocks you have mined, how many bosses you have killed, and check out your active milestones.
I built a full achievement system into the code, so you get rewarded with on-screen titles for hitting big goals like your first hundred blocks or your first boss kill.
The Ascension System
What happens when you beat all 10 sectors and kill the final dragon? You do not just sit there with nothing to do. I built an entire Prestige system called Ascension. Once you hit 5000 blocks, you can open your Void Link compass and choose to Ascend. This resets your block count back to zero, but you gain an official Ascension rank.
You get an exclusive badge next to your name, and your future chest loot gets permanently buffed. It is made for players who want to grind endlessly and flex their ranks on a multiplayer server.
Custom Settings and Anti-Cheat
I know everyone plays differently, so I added a full options menu inside the compass. You can manually adjust the mob spawn rate, change how often bonus chests appear, and toggle the custom sound effects.
If you are tired of falling into the void and losing all your hard-earned gear, I coded an Auto-Teleport feature that catches you before you hit the bottom and drops you safely back on your block. Oh, and for the realm owners, I built an anti-cheat script that automatically forces players back into survival mode if they try to switch to creative.
The Technical Setup (READ THIS)
Since this whole map runs on advanced custom scripts, UI menus, and dynamic background variables, you absolutely must turn on the Beta APIs experiment in your world settings before you load in. If you skip this step, the compass menu will not open and the rift blocks will not spawn. Do not forget it.
Quick AI Heads-up
Just keeping it real with you guys. I used some AI tools to upscale the thumbnail and make the CurseForge gallery screenshots look clean and sharp.
