Description
The Vanilla Furnace Grind is Over
What is up, Minecraft survival players? Let us be completely honest for a second. When you are deep into a massive hardcore survival world, mining is already a massive grind. But the absolute worst part is coming back to your base with shulker boxes full of raw iron, raw gold, and raw copper, and then realizing you have to sit there waiting for furnaces to cook everything.
You have to farm coal, build giant super-smelters, set up hopper lines, and just waste your time. I am 26 now, and honestly, between balancing real life and gaming, I absolutely do not have the patience to stare at a blast furnace for thirty minutes just to get my ingots. I want to build, I want to fight, and I want to craft immediately. That is exactly why I designed the Auto-Smelter add-on. It completely removes the boring waiting game from your survival world and makes mining instantly rewarding.
How The Instant Smelting Actually Works
The core mechanic of this add-on is pure efficiency. When you go mining and break a supported ore, the block will immediately drop the fully smelted ingot instead of the raw material. It completely skips the furnace phase. If you break an iron ore or deepslate iron, you get an iron ingot. If you break gold or deepslate gold, you get a gold ingot. It also works perfectly for copper.
But I did not stop in the overworld. If you are grinding in the Nether and you manage to mine ancient debris, the add-on will instantly drop a netherite scrap for you. And do not worry about losing your experience points. The script is designed to instantly spawn the correct amount of XP orbs right at the block location exactly like a vanilla furnace would give you. You get the item and the XP immediately.
The Custom Control Panel
Now, I know what some of you pro players are thinking. What if you actually want to keep the raw ores so you can use a Fortune III pickaxe on them later at your base? I thought about that. I hate typing complicated chat commands to change settings, so I built a physical UI menu into the game. The very first time you spawn into a world with this add-on, you will automatically receive a custom item called the Auto-Smelter Panel.
All you have to do is hold this item and use it to open a clean dashboard right on your screen. From this menu, you can instantly toggle the auto-smelting feature on or off with a single click. If you find a massive vein of gold and want to use Fortune, just turn the smelter off, mine it raw, and turn it back on when you are done. It gives you complete control over your gameplay.
The Lucky Drop System
To make mining even more addictive, I coded a custom randomizer into the breaking mechanic. Every single time you break a smeltable ore, you have a flat 5 percent chance to trigger a Lucky Smelt. When this happens, a special sound effect will play, an action bar title will pop up on your screen, and the block will drop double the ingots. Getting two netherite scraps from a single ancient debris block because you hit that 5 percent lucky drop is one of the most satisfying feelings you can experience in the Nether.
The Milestone Rewards System
This is where the add-on becomes a full progression system. I wanted to reward players for their absolute dedication to the grind. The Auto-Smelter Panel tracks every single ore you process and saves your total stats. As you hit specific numbers, the game rewards you automatically.
When you hit 50 ores, you get the Blacksmith Apprentice rank and 16 coal. At 200 ores, you are heating up and the game drops a free iron block. But the huge rewards come later. When you hit 500 total smelted ores, you earn the Master Smith title, get two gold blocks, and the game announces your achievement to the entire server. If you are crazy enough to grind out 1000 ores, you unlock the Legendary Forge milestone, receive 5 free diamonds, and get a massive server-wide shoutout.
Realms and Technical Setup
If you are running a multiplayer server or a realm with your friends, this add-on works flawlessly. The stat tracking and milestones are saved completely separately for every single player. One person toggling their smelter off does not affect anyone else on the server. Just remember, because this uses custom UI menus and dynamic properties, you must go into your world settings and enable the Beta APIs experiment before loading the world. If you skip that step, the control panel will not open.
