Description
About
Keep a worn-out tool for repair instead of accidentally using its last durability.
Never Break Tools adds a low-durability safety guard for vanilla tools and weapons in Minecraft Bedrock. When a tool reaches 10 durability or less, the add-on blocks mining and item use, then puts the tool away so you can repair it.
Features
- Automatic protection — works in Survival and Adventure without commands or a settings menu.
- Put worn tools away — moves the selected tool to an empty inventory slot. With a full inventory, switches to a safe hotbar slot when one is available.
- Keep your item — preserves the tool's name, enchantments and remaining durability. Protected items are never dropped or deleted by the add-on.
- Vanilla tools and weapons — supports pickaxes, axes, shovels, hoes, swords and spears, including copper tools, plus bows, crossbows, tridents and maces.
- Utility tools — also supports shears, fishing rods, brushes, flint and steel, carrots on sticks and warped fungus on sticks.
- Multiplayer support — protects each player's selected tool independently.
- Localized warnings — includes English and Russian messages.
How to use
- Import the
.mcaddonfile into Minecraft Bedrock. - Activate the Never Break Tools Behavior Pack and its included Resource Pack for your world.
- Play normally in Survival or Adventure. Keep a free inventory slot or a safe hotbar slot available.
- When a tool has 10 durability or less, it is put away and a short chat message appears.
- Repair the stored tool through an anvil, or combine compatible tools through crafting or a grindstone. Use it again once its durability is above 10. Combining tools may remove enchantments under normal Minecraft rules.
Notes
- This is a safety guard, not infinite durability. Tools still wear down during normal use.
- Keep somewhere to put the tool. If your inventory is full and all nine hotbar items need protection, the tool must stay in your hand. The add-on blocks supported uses and warns you, but melee attacks can still wear it down.
- A tool used before it can be put away, an attack already in progress, an in-flight projectile, or another add-on that changes item durability may bypass protection.
- Once a tool is put away, it does not receive held-item Mending repairs. Mending works normally while a usable tool is held above the protection threshold; use an anvil or combine tools to repair one that has already been put away.
- Armor, shields, elytra and items from other add-ons are outside this version's scope.
- Creative and Spectator are unaffected. No recipes or new items are added.
