The Crimson Biome add-on brings Terraria's living crimson infection, creatures, resources, and signature boss encounter to Minecraft Bedrock Edition. Discover crimson regions in the Overworld, explore their dark Shadewood forests and underground deposits, then break Crimson Hearts to awaken the Brain of Cthulhu.
Features
- Crimson Biome Generation: Crimson regions partially replace suitable Overworld plains, forests, taigas, savannas, hills, and meadows while preserving the surrounding world.
- Living Infection: The crimson slowly converts nearby grass, dirt, stone, and sand into Crimson Grass, Crimson Dirt, Crimstone, and Crimson Sand. Vicious Powder can infect a targeted area immediately.
- Distinct Environment: Explore red Shadewood forests, drifting crimson spores, Vicious Mushrooms, and clustered thorny bushes that slow and damage players who push through them.
- Underground Resources: Mine Crimtane Ore and search the lower Crimson for the hearts required to begin the boss encounter.
- Custom Items:
- Crimtane Raw Ore & Bar: Mine the ore and smelt it in a furnace to get bars.
- Vicious Mushroom: Spawns naturally on Crimson Grass blocks.
- Vicious Powder: Crafted from Vicious Mushrooms and used while aiming at nearby terrain to spread the infection.
- Vertebra & Tissue Sample: Crimson creature and boss drops inspired by Terraria.
- Crimson Enemies:
- Crimera: Flying attackers that swoop down from above.
- Face Monster: Tough humanoid horrors that roam the Crimson surface.
- Blood Crawler: Spider-like creatures found on the surface and underground.
- Brain of Cthulhu Boss:
- Awakened after the third Crimson Heart is broken.
- Phase 1: protected by a swarm of Creeper minions and immune to damage until they are defeated.
- Phase 2: becomes vulnerable, changes appearance, teleports around the arena, and charges the closest player.
- Features a custom animated model with pulsing brain tissue, a central eye, and independently moving tentacles.
How to use
Install the add-on and enable both the behavior and resource packs. Crimson regions generate in newly explored chunks; a new world is recommended for the best distribution.
Explore underground Crimson terrain and break three Crimson Hearts. The third heart awakens the Brain of Cthulhu, so prepare before destroying it.
