Xals Armoire

Tracks your transmog collection piece by piece — every unique appearance, slot by slot, collected and missing side by side. Click any look and it tells you exactly where it comes from: the instance, the boss, the difficulty, and every item in the game that grants it.

🤔 What is Xal's Armoire?

Your wardrobe shows you what you've already collected. What it doesn't tell you is what's left, or where any of it comes from. Xal's Armoire flips that around — it lists every unique appearance slot by slot, folds duplicate items into the single look they share so the numbers actually mean something, and shows you the source for each one. Open it, pick a slot, and go collect something.

⚡ Key features

• Every unique appearance, slot by slot — head through weapons, collected and missing together, not just what you already own.
• Looks, not duplicates — a helmet that appears on a dozen different items counts once. Your remaining count reflects what you actually still need to go get, not how many item IDs share a model.
• Where it drops — the real source for each appearance: instance, boss name, and which difficulties it can come from.
• Every item that grants the look — one appearance can come from a dozen items across different raids and tiers; all of them are listed, so you can chase whichever is easiest.
• Grouped by source, collapsible and collapsed by default, so tens of thousands of appearances stay readable instead of becoming a wall.
• Search by name — type a few letters and find it.
• Separate collection window — browse what you've already got, kept apart from the to-do list so the tracker only ever shows you work that's left.
• Minimap button — left-click to open the tracker, right-click for settings.
• Deliberately simple — no forest of checkboxes to wade through before it's useful. Roughly four settings, and that's the lot.

🧭 Getting started

1. Open the tracker — type /xao or left-click the minimap button.
2. Pick a slot — head, shoulders, chest, weapons, whatever you're working on.
3. Expand a source group — appearances are grouped by where they come from, collapsed by default.
4. Click any appearance — see every item that grants that look, and the instance, boss and difficulty behind each one.
5. Check what you've got — /xao collection opens the collection window for everything already unlocked.

Ideas on the roadmap — not in the addon yet:

• Tooltip integration — hover an item anywhere in the game and see whether that look is already collected.
• Wowhead links — copy a direct link for any appearance straight out of the list.
• Account-wide totals — build up a complete picture across all four armor types as you play your alts.
• Ensembles and sets — track the bundled appearance sets alongside the individual pieces.
• Unobtainable appearances — retired and removed looks, hidden by default and toggleable for reference.
• New appearance fanfare — a notification when you learn one.
