True Round Robin Loot Distribution for Gargul PackMule

TrueRoundRobin is a lightweight companion addon for Gargul that provides a true, persistent Round Robin system for items distributed through Gargul's PackMule.

Gargul's standard Round Robin system can select recipients from eligible raid members, but TrueRoundRobin adds persistent award tracking so that everyone gets one before anyone gets a second.

How It Works

TrueRoundRobin works alongside Gargul rather than replacing it.

Simply configure an item in Gargul → PackMule and set its target to:

RR (Round Robin)

TrueRoundRobin then takes over the recipient-selection process for Round Robin items.

For each item, the addon keeps track of how many copies every player has received.

Example:

First Round

• Player A → 1
• Player B → 1
• Player C → 1
• Player D → 1

Nobody receives a second copy until all eligible players have received their first.

Second Round

• Player A → 2
• Player B → 2
• Player C → 2
• Player D → 2

This continues automatically as additional copies drop.

Persistent Tracking

Unlike a temporary raid-session rotation, TrueRoundRobin saves award history.

Your distribution history survives:

• /reload
• Logging out
• Zoning
• Raid disbands
• Future raid nights

This makes it particularly useful for raid materials and other items distributed over multiple weeks.

Handles Absences Automatically

An absent player will not hold up the raid's loot distribution.

TrueRoundRobin selects from eligible players who are currently available in the raid.

When an absent player returns, their existing award count is remembered. If they have received fewer copies than other raiders, they automatically receive priority until they catch up.

This allows the system to remain fair without requiring your entire roster to attend every raid.

Multiple Drops

If multiple copies of an item drop during the same raid, TrueRoundRobin continues through the eligible players instead of intentionally giving additional copies to someone who is already ahead in the rotation.

The goal is simple:

Everyone gets one before anyone gets two.

Everyone gets two before anyone gets three.

And so on.

Gargul Integration

TrueRoundRobin is designed specifically as a companion for Gargul.

Gargul continues to handle:

• PackMule rules
• Loot detection
• Master Loot
• Item distribution
• Normal Gargul functionality

TrueRoundRobin only changes how the recipient of a PackMule RR item is selected.

This keeps the addon lightweight and allows you to continue using Gargul normally.

Configuration GUI

Type:

/trr

to open the TrueRoundRobin configuration window.

The GUI provides access to:

General

Enable or disable the TrueRoundRobin Gargul override and configure addon behavior.

Items

View items currently being tracked by the True Round Robin system and manage their stored distribution history.

Status

See the current distribution status, including player award counts, so the raid leader can quickly determine who has and hasn't received an item.

Slash Commands

Example Uses

TrueRoundRobin is ideal for distributing frequently dropped raid items such as:

• Hearts of Darkness
• Marks and tokens
• Crafting materials
• Resistance gear materials
• Raid consumable materials
• Guild-distributed resources
• Any item that should be distributed evenly among eligible raiders

Requirements

Gargul is required.

TrueRoundRobin does not replace Gargul and is specifically designed to extend Gargul's PackMule Round Robin functionality.

Setup

1. Install Gargul.

2. Install TrueRoundRobin.

3. Log into World of Warcraft.

4. Configure the desired item in Gargul → PackMule.

5. Set the item's PackMule target to RR.

6. Type /trr to review the TrueRoundRobin settings.

7. Loot normally.

TrueRoundRobin handles the recipient selection while Gargul handles the actual loot distribution.

No trying to remember who received one last week.
