TopFive

Who topped the meter? Find out the moment the boss dies — without running a damage meter all fight.

TopFive is a lightweight, non-intrusive overlay that appears for a few seconds after every dungeon or raid boss kill and shows the top 5 damage dealers of the encounter. It is not a live damage meter: it stays completely out of your way during combat and only shows up once the fight is over.

All data comes from Blizzard's built-in damage meter (C_DamageMeter), so there is no combat log parsing and no extra CPU cost during the fight.

Features

End-of-boss summary

• Pops up automatically after a successful dungeon or raid boss kill (wipes are ignored).
• Stays on screen for 10 seconds (configurable), then fades out.
• Translucent dark panel with soft, blurred-looking edges, so it doesn't hide the game.
• Click-through: it never blocks your mouse, so you can keep looting and moving.

The ranking

• Top 5 players, each with portrait (or spec/class icon), name in class colour and a progress bar.
• Percentage of total damage as the main figure, with total damage and DPS shown below it.
• #1 stands out: bigger row, gold ring and gold accent. #2 and #3 get silver and bronze details.
• If YOU are #1: the row grows even bigger, pops in with a golden flash, gets an MVP tag and plays a short sound (can be turned off).
• If you're #2–#5: your row is highlighted with a YOU tag.
• Outside the top 5? A small footer shows your rank, your damage and your percentage.

Secondary stats (small, unobtrusive)

• Interrupts, damage taken and a skull if that player died, shown under each name.
• Mythic difficulties: interrupts are highlighted, the best kicker gets a TOP KICKS tag and the group's total interrupts appear in the footer.
• A footer note tells you if you died during the fight.

Options

Open Options → AddOns → TopFive or type /topfive:

• Main figure: Percentage (default), Total damage or DPS.
• Time on screen: 5–30 seconds.
• Scale: 60%–160%.
• Show or hide the secondary stats (interrupts / damage taken / deaths).
• MVP sound on or off.
• Test button to preview the overlay, and Move / lock to reposition it.

Commands

/top5 works as a short alias for /topfive.

Compatibility

• Retail (Midnight) and World of Warcraft: Forever.
• Respects Blizzard's addon restrictions. In content where Blizzard keeps combat data restricted (e.g. Mythic+), TopFive falls back to a reduced view: the meter's ranking and values are still shown, without percentages or per-player secondary stats.
• UI available in English and Spanish.
