SummonFlow
Everything except the click.
Running a summon service is not hard. Running one for three hours while
twelve people whisper you at once is. Who was first. What this one owes.
Whether the last one ever paid. Whether you still have the shards to sell
what you are about to sell.
SummonFlow is a queue, a till and a receptionist for a warlock selling
summons. It invites people who whisper you, queues them in the order they
actually arrived, tells each one what they owe and how long they will
wait, notices the payment when it lands, and remembers who did not pay.
You press the Summon button. It does the rest.
WHAT IT DOES
QUEUE In true join order, read from the game's own join
messages rather than guessed. Each customer is told their
position, their wait and their price.
INVITES On a whisper containing a word you choose. Optionally also
from requests it hears in the chat channels.
PRICING Per level or one flat fee, with a cap. Quoted once and
never changed afterwards.
PAYMENT Recognised from a trade or from a letter, and from nothing
else. Tips recorded. Short payments noticed. Nothing is
ever guessed at.
LEDGER A running account per customer and a transaction log per
summon, searchable by name, date, amount or word.
WAIT TIMES Measured, not configured. It learns how fast you actually
work and quotes from that, with a margin so the number is
one you can beat.
WORLD BUFF Counts down to the next Zul'Gurub drop in your advert,
offers to tell the raid the moment it lands, and warns any
customer whose place in the queue runs past it.
ADVERTS Five wordings that take turns, with a shared details line
so the queue, the wait and the countdown are never the
part that got left out.
THE RAID Removes people who logged out or never arrived, tidily and
only when you press something.
WARNINGS When a clicker or you are drifting towards an idle
disconnect, and when the shards are running low.
