Description

What the Addon Adds and Changes

Starred introduces a custom bookmarking and scouting system directly into the World of Warcraft user interface.

Tooltip Augmentation: Automatically appends raid-target star icons ({rt1}) to the left and right of item, spell, and equipment tooltips that match user-defined bookmarks or keyword text filters.

Management Interface: Provides a dedicated, draggable UI window (accessible via /star list) categorized by item type, armor category, and saved phrases to manage bookmarked entries.

Keyword Filtering Engine: Scans tooltips dynamically for custom keyword phrases (configured via /star kw <phrase>) to automatically highlight target items.

Data Interchange: Includes import and export string functionalities to share watchlists across characters or accounts.

Commands

/star or /starred — Toggle star status on your current tooltip or cursor target.

/star [item link] — Toggle star status on a specific item link by shift-clicking it into the chat box (e.g., /star [Tome of Illusions: Northrend]).

/star list (or show / options) — Open the master management UI window.

/star kw <phrase> — Add or remove a custom text keyword phrase filter (e.g., /star kw Thalassian).

Why I Made This Addon

I got sick of skimming the TSM tooltip for previous sale history and wanted something that made it faster to buy flips in Point Blank Sniper (PBS). Items are starred when they have sold particularly well, allowing for instant recognition and re-buying if they pop up in scans again. This is my first addon, so please be gentle :P

🛠️ Known Issues & Planned Updates

Cageable Pets: Cageable pets are currently incompatible, working on a fix.

Item Level Scaling Calculations: Specific item level starring reverts items to the base item ilv.

Future Roadmap: Plans include adding multi-character profiles, updated visual styles, and integrating star markers directly into additional game windows beyond standard tooltips.
