Point Blank Sniper Companion

Point Blank Sniper Companion adds extra information and a roomier layout to the Point Blank Sniper tab in the Auction House. It shows how a snipe compares to the region market and how many of the item you have sold before, so you can judge a deal without your eyes leaving the results list and getting lost in tooltips.

Features

• Region Avg Sale: the region average sale price from TSM, shown next to each result.
• Sold/Day: how many of the item sell per day across the region.
• Margin: how far the listed price is below the region average, as a percentage. Click the header to sort by it. Items with no data sink to the bottom.
• You Sold: how many of the item you have sold before, taken from your TSM Accounting records. Items you have never sold show “-”.
• Sortable columns: click any new column header to sort, and click again to reverse.
• Side panel: the Scan mode options and the Buy panel are docked into the space to the right of the results list. The Scan mode options hide while the Buy panel is open.
• No comparison tooltips: the equipped-item comparison tooltips are hidden while you hover the results list.
• Configurable: every feature can be switched off in the settings table at the top of Companion.lua.

How it works

• This is a separate addon that works alongside Point Blank Sniper. It contains none of the original addon’s code and does nothing if Point Blank Sniper is disabled.
• Region Avg Sale, Sold/Day and Margin need TradeSkillMaster with its desktop app data. Without it, those columns show “-”.
• TSM has no official source for quantity sold, so You Sold is read from the sales records TSM saves for Accounting. TSM only writes new sales to that data when you /reload or log out, so very recent sales may not be counted until then. By default it counts sales on all your realms. Set soldCurrentRealmOnly = true to count only this realm.
• Margin is (region average - listed price) / listed price.

What it does not do
Point Blank Sniper Companion does not change how Point Blank Sniper scans, alerts or buys, and it does not add any prices of its own. All sniping functionality belongs to the original addon. The extra columns are only as accurate as your TSM data.

• /pbsc: print a short layout and data report in chat, useful if a column or panel isn’t showing
