SSX Core

Shared library for the SSX addon family — provides the /ssx command and common resources.

SSX Core

The shared foundation of the SSX addon family.

SSX Core doesn't add anything to your interface on its own. It is a small, lightweight library required by every SSX addon. Instead of each addon registering its own slash command and bundling its own resources, they all plug into SSX Core — so you get one command, /ssx, for everything.

If you installed an SSX addon through the CurseForge app, SSX Core was installed automatically. Keep it enabled.

What it does

  • Unified /ssx command — every SSX addon registers its subcommands here.
  • /ssx info — lists the commands of all installed SSX addons, grouped by addon.
  • Appearance settings for the whole family — in Esc > Options > AddOns > SSX (or /ssx config) pick the font, text size, main and secondary text colors, window border and its color, background color and opacity, and the texture of bars (health bars, progress bars). Change it once and every SSX addon updates instantly, with a live preview.
  • Shared resources — common icon and chat message formatting used across the SSX family.
  • Tiny footprint — no performance cost while you play.

Commands

Command Description
/ssx or /ssx info Lists all commands from installed SSX addons
/ssx config Opens the SSX appearance settings

SSX addons

  • SSX Chat — copy the text of any chat window with one click.
  • SSX Character Panel — item level, gems and enchants next to every slot on the character window.
  • SSX Queue — floating window with the progress of every queue and an alert when you're called.
  • SSX Target Marker — floating bar with all raid target markers; one click marks your target.
  • SSX Enemy List — the enemies fighting you or your group, who each one is attacking and whether you hold aggro.

For developers

SSX addons register commands with:

SSX:RegisterCommand("Addon Name", "cmd", function(args)
    -- args = everything typed after "/ssx cmd"
end, {
    { "/ssx cmd", "description shown in /ssx info" },
})

Use the shared appearance with SSX:StyleFrame(frame), SSX:StyleBar(bar, defaultTexture) and SSX:CreateFontString(parent, layer, template).

Declare ## Dependencies: SSX_Core in your .toc.
