Description

SapKeeper

SapKeeper is a focused crowd-control timer for Rogues in World of Warcraft Classic Era. It tracks your own Sap (German: Kopfnuss), warns before it ends, and reports how the target was released.

The addon never uses Sap automatically and does not change your action bars.

Features

  • Rank-correct PvE countdown for Sap
  • Prewarning and optional latency marker
  • Refresh-event handling
  • Normal expiry without a false break warning
  • Confirmed melee and ability break attribution from the combat log
  • Breaker name, breaking ability and remaining Sap time
  • Detection of resisted, immune and missed uses
  • Cautious unknown early-release warning when no breaker is provided
  • Movable and scalable timer, Breaker and diagnostic-log windows
  • Copyable debug log
  • Saved window positions and settings
  • Hidden group communication in PARTY, RAID and INSTANCE_CHAT
  • Event-ID deduplication for network messages
  • Optional visible PARTY announcements, disabled by default
  • English, German, French, Spanish and Russian localization

Supported Classic Era ranks

Rank Spell ID Maximum PvE duration Learned at
1 6770 25 seconds Level 10
2 2070 35 seconds Level 28
3 11297 45 seconds Level 48

PvP diminishing returns are not modeled. Sap works only on Humanoids outside combat, requires Stealth and affects one target at a time.

Early automatic releases

Higher-level targets can free themselves before the maximum Sap duration. Classic Era may then provide only SPELL_AURA_REMOVED, without identifying a breaker or a specific reason.

SapKeeper reports such an event as an unknown early release / possible heartbeat resist and never blames a player. Confirmed player-caused melee and ability breaks are reported with their actual source and cause.

Failed uses

Failed uses such as RESIST, IMMUNE or MISS are shown in the Breaker window. They have no remaining-time value because no new Sap aura was applied.

Group communication

SapKeeper can share Breaker events invisibly with other SapKeeper users in the group. Supported channels are PARTY, RAID and INSTANCE_CHAT. Receiving is available on non-Rogue characters. Event IDs prevent the sender's echoed addon message from creating duplicate entries.

Public PARTY announcements are available as an option and are off by default. Unknown attribution is never sent as a public accusation.
