Description

HibernateKeeper

HibernateKeeper is a focused crowd-control timer for Druids in World of Warcraft Classic Era. It tracks your own directly cast Hibernate (German: Winterschlaf), warns when it is time to recast, and reports how the effect ended.

The addon never casts automatically and does not change your action bars.

Features

  • Rank-correct PvE countdown for Hibernate
  • Prewarning plus cast-time and optional latency marker
  • Refresh detection
  • Normal expiry without a false break warning
  • Confirmed melee and spell break attribution from the combat log
  • Breaker name, breaking spell and remaining Hibernate time
  • Detection of resisted, immune and missed casts
  • Cautious unknown early-break warning when no culprit is provided
  • Movable and scalable timer, Breaker and diagnostic-log windows
  • Copyable debug log
  • Saved window positions and settings
  • Hidden group communication in PARTY, RAID and INSTANCE_CHAT
  • Event-ID deduplication for network messages
  • Optional visible PARTY announcements, disabled by default
  • English, German, French, Spanish and Russian localization

Supported Classic Era ranks

Rank Spell ID Maximum PvE duration Learned at
1 2637 20 seconds Level 18
2 18657 30 seconds Level 38
3 18658 40 seconds Level 58

PvP diminishing returns are not modeled. Hibernate works only on Beasts and Dragonkin, and only one target can be affected at a time. Any damage awakens the target.

Break attribution

Confirmed SPELL_AURA_BROKEN and SPELL_AURA_BROKEN_SPELL events identify the player who broke Hibernate. Spell breaks also show the breaking spell. HibernateKeeper calculates the remaining crowd-control time at the moment of the break.

If Hibernate ends clearly early without a confirmed breaker, dispel or damage event, the addon reports an unknown early break and does not blame a player. This may be a heartbeat resist or another cause not exposed by the combat log.

Failed casts

Failed casts such as RESIST, IMMUNE or MISS are shown in the Breaker window. They have no remaining-time value because no new Hibernate aura was applied.

Group communication

HibernateKeeper can share Breaker events invisibly with other HibernateKeeper users in the group. Supported channels are PARTY, RAID and INSTANCE_CHAT. Receiving works on non-Druid characters. Event IDs prevent the sender's echoed addon message from creating duplicate entries.

Public PARTY announcements are available as an option and are off by default. Unknown attribution is never sent as a public accusation.

Test status

The real Classic Era client confirmed Druid activation and the configured 20/30/40-second timers for ranks 1-3 using the built-in test commands. A live Hibernate cast and Hibernate-specific combat-log break events were not available for testing before this release. The underlying generic core is the same real-client-tested core used by ShackleKeeper.
