Description
BanishKeeper
BanishKeeper is a lightweight timing helper for Warlocks in World of Warcraft Classic Era, designed to make recasting Banish as precise and reliable as possible.
It is the direct Keeper-series successor to ReBanish 1.4.0 and continues its version sequence as BanishKeeper 1.5.0.
The addon was originally created for situations such as Garr in Molten Core, where a banished target should remain uncontrolled for as little time as possible between Banish casts.
BanishKeeper tracks your own Banish through the combat log. This means you do not need to keep the banished mob selected as your current target or focus.
Features
- Supports Banish Rank 1 (20 sec) and Rank 2 (30 sec)
- Automatically starts when your Banish is successfully applied
- Combat-log based tracking — changing target does not stop the timer
- Automatically hides when no Banish is active
- During the final 5 seconds, the countdown switches to a new full-width bar for more precise timing
- White marker shows the base 1.5 second Banish cast time
- Red marker additionally visualizes the current network latency
- Optional automatic latency compensation
- Visual CAST NOW! warning
- Optional warning sound
- Movable, lockable and scalable timer window
- Automatic client language detection
- Supports English, German, French, Spanish and Russian
Unsupported client languages automatically fall back to English
Additional BanishKeeper features
- Detects RESIST, IMMUNE and MISS for new Banish casts
- A too-early
IMMUNErecast does not stop the still-active Banish timer - Normal expiry does not create a false break report
- Cautious unknown early-loss reporting without blaming a player
- Breaker window with source, cause and remaining Banish time when the combat log provides them
- Hidden AddonMessage communication in PARTY, RAID and INSTANCE_CHAT
- Event-ID deduplication, including the sender's echoed message
- Optional visible PARTY announcements, disabled by default
- Movable and scalable Breaker and debug-log windows
- Copyable diagnostic log
- Saved window positions and settings
Precise pre-cast timing
A target is immune to another Banish while Banish is active. The next cast is therefore started while the old Banish is still running, but timed so that it finishes immediately after the old effect expires.
If the cast finishes too early, the client reports IMMUNE. If it is started too late, the target remains uncontrolled longer than necessary. The cast-time and latency markers show the intended starting point for this pre-cast.
Commands
/bk or /bk help — Show available commands/bk test 1 — Test Banish Rank 1 (20 sec)/bk test 2 — Test Banish Rank 2 (30 sec)/bk unlock — Unlock the timer for positioning/bk lock — Lock the timer position/bk reset — Reset window positions/bk lead 1.5 — Set the base cast-time marker/bk prewarn 5 — Set the full-width warning phase/bk latency — Show current latency/bk latency on — Enable latency compensation/bk latency off — Disable latency compensation/bk sound on — Enable warning sound/bk sound off — Disable warning sound/bk breaker — Show or hide the Breaker window/bk breaker on|off — Enable or disable hidden Breaker communication/bk say on|off — Enable or disable visible PARTY announcements/bk log — Show or hide the copyable diagnostic log/bk debug on|off — Enable or disable combat-log diagnostics

Important
BanishKeeper is a timing and visual assistance addon only. It does not automatically cast Banish or perform any protected combat action. The player always performs the actual spell cast.
BanishKeeper uses its own addon folder and SavedVariables. Disable ReBanish when using BanishKeeper so that both timer windows do not track the same cast. Existing ReBanishDB data is not changed or deleted.
Real-client testing on WoW Classic Era 1.15.9 confirmed both ranks, precise pre-casting across the expiry boundary, normal expiry, failed IMMUNE recasts, continued timer tracking, hidden PARTY transmission and sender-message deduplication.
