Description
RL Outfitter
RL Outfitter is a lightweight equipment set manager for World of Warcraft, inspired by classic outfit addons but implemented from scratch for RL-Dev.
It allows you to save your current gear as named outfits, quickly swap between them, and see in the item tooltip which outfits a particular item belongs to.
Features
Character window integration:
- RL Outfitter opens as a side panel next to the character frame (C).
- A button "RL Outfitter" is added to the character window.
Outfit management:
- Save the currently equipped gear as a named outfit.
- Mark one outfit as active; active outfits are highlighted in the list.
- Overwrite an existing outfit with your current gear.
- Delete outfits you no longer need.
Item tooltip integration:
- When you hover an item (bags, character, etc.), the tooltip shows:
RL Outfitter: Tank, PvP
if the item is part of the outfits "Tank" and "PvP".

Slot coverage:
- All important equipment slots are included:
- Head, neck, shoulder, shirt, chest, waist, legs, feet, wrist, hands
- Rings, trinkets, back, main hand, off hand, ranged, tabard

Language support:
- German and English UI texts.
- The language is chosen automatically from the WoW client locale:
deDE→ German- all other locales → English
Usage
Opening RL Outfitter
- Open the character frame with C, then click the "RL Outfitter" button.
- Alternatively, use one of these slash commands:
/rloutfitter/rloutfit
RL Outfitter opens as a panel to the right of the character frame.
Creating a new outfit
- Equip the gear you want for this outfit.
- Open RL Outfitter.
- Enter a name into the Name field (for example "Tank").
- Click "Save new".
- The outfit appears in the list and is marked as active.
If you try to use "Save new" with a name that already exists, RL Outfitter will print a warning in the chat and will not overwrite the existing outfit.
Activating an outfit
- Click an outfit in the list:
- Your character equips all items saved for that outfit.
- The outfit becomes the active one and is highlighted in the list.
- The outfit name is shown in the Name field.
Overwriting an existing outfit
- Activate an outfit by clicking it in the list, or type its exact name into the Name field.
- Equip your new gear.
- Click "Overwrite".
The selected outfit is updated with your currently equipped items.
Deleting an outfit
- Make sure the Name field contains the name of the outfit you want to delete (for example by clicking the outfit in the list).
- Click "Delete".
If the deleted outfit was active, the active marker is cleared.
