QuickCraftingOrders

Quick Crafting Orders streamlines WoW Retail Crafting Orders with smart scans, a 3-step QuickBuild workflow, reagent tracking, Shopping List + AH search, Concentration/best-reagent controls, and profession auto-detection.

Quick Crafting Orders

Quick Crafting Orders is a World of Warcraft Retail addon for faster, clearer, and more controlled Crafting Order handling at the Crafting Order table.

QCO scans available Crafting Orders and displays them in a compact overview with order type, reward, tip, time left, quality requirement, reagent status, missing reagents, learned or unlearned recipes, and customer/NPC-provided reagents.

The addon is designed to reduce the usual back-and-forth when checking, preparing, shopping for, crafting, and completing Crafting Orders.

For supported orders, QCO is built around a simple 3-step QuickBuild workflow:

  • Start the order.
  • Create the item.
  • Complete the order.

The active order is shown directly in the scan list with protected workflow states such as Build, Crafting, Wait, Finish, and Completing, so you can see when the next step is ready. QCO now keeps claimed, crafting, and completing orders pinned more safely until Blizzard confirms the next order state.

Reagent Handling

QCO checks reagent availability using current accessible item counts, including bags, bank, reagent bank, and Warband/account bank when exposed by the client API.

The addon separates customer/NPC-provided reagents from reagents you need to provide yourself. This helps you quickly see whether an order is ready, whether reagents are missing, or whether the order has another blocker such as low skill, missing Concentration, cooldown restrictions, or an unlearned recipe.

QCO can also control whether best-quality reagents should be used. If QCO is configured not to use best-quality reagents, it clears a stale Blizzard "Use best quality reagents" state before crafting.

Personal and Guild Orders can optionally override the global settings, allowing those order types to use best-quality reagents and Concentration even when the global options are disabled.

Shopping List

The Shopping List helps you quickly see and buy missing reagents.

It shows:

  • Item
  • Need
  • Have
  • Missing

Each row has its own AH Search button, so searching a reagent searches exactly that row's item. A separate AH queue button can search all open Shopping List reagents in sequence.

Completed entries can be cleared automatically, and the Shopping List can optionally close when all entries are completed.

Vendor purchases are also handled through inventory updates. If a missing reagent is bought from an NPC vendor and the required amount is now available, QCO can clear the completed Shopping List entry automatically.

Crafting Order Scan

QCO scans the supported Crafting Order types and combines them into one overview:

  • Public Orders
  • Guild Orders
  • Personal Orders
  • Patron/NPC Orders

The QCO total may be higher than the number shown in a single Blizzard tab because QCO can display multiple order types at once. For example, 11 Patron/NPC Orders and 2 Public Orders are shown as 13 total orders in QCO.

The scan system is designed to stay close to Blizzard's own Crafting Order request behavior. QCO avoids overlapping its own requests with Blizzard's active Crafting Order requests, keeps older stable scan results when a new scan becomes unstable, and uses a Blizzard NPC/Patron Search preflight to improve first-scan completeness.

Expansion Selector

QCO includes an Expansion selector in the main scan toolbar. It allows you to switch between supported modern profession branches before scanning.

Currently supported:

  • Midnight
  • Khaz Algar

Changing the selected Expansion clears the QCO scan list, resets the selected order details, and starts a new scan for the selected profession branch. The Shopping List is intentionally preserved when switching Expansion.

QuickBuild Workflow

QCO supports a guided 3-step order workflow:

  • Start the order.
  • Create the item.
  • Complete the order.

The active order remains visible in the scan list while it is claimed, crafting, waiting for completion, or completing. QCO now waits more safely for Blizzard's order-state confirmations before removing an order from the workflow.

Left-click protection is active during protected workflow states to reduce accidental workflow loss. Right-click remains the intended quick workflow path for claiming, crafting, and completing orders.

Settings and Display Options

QCO includes settings sections for:

  • Main
  • Orders
  • Details
  • Items
  • Shopping
  • Filters
  • Debug

Item tooltip settings can be adjusted live without a relog. You can separately control tooltips for order items, rewards, order-detail reagents, Shopping List reagents, and compact reagent summaries.

Display options include order type prefixes, status colors, problem-order highlighting, and scan-status tooltip hints.

Debug and Support

QCO includes an expanded debug copy window for easier bug reports.

Use:

/qco debugcopy

when something does not work as expected. The debug report can include selected order data, reagent details, workflow state, scan diagnostics, order-count diagnostics, bucket data, Shopping List snapshots, inventory count data, settings snapshots, and useful API-related information.

Bug reports are most useful when they include the debugcopy output from the moment the problem occurs.

Current Development Status

Quick Crafting Orders is in its 1.0 release line.

The addon is intended to be usable for normal Crafting Order workflows, but edge cases may still appear depending on profession, order type, recipe state, reagent quality, Blizzard API behavior, Crafting Order UI timing, or newly changed client behavior after patches.

Maintenance updates will focus on keeping QCO compatible with Blizzard API changes, improving scan reliability, and fixing reported edge cases.

Donations

QCO is developed as a community addon. Donations are welcome and appreciated, but never required. The addon remains free to use.

Notes

QCO is not a replacement for TSM, Auctionator, CraftSim, or other economy/crafting simulation addons.

It does not try to calculate profit or replace advanced crafting tools. Its purpose is to make Crafting Orders easier to scan, understand, prepare, shop for, craft, and complete.

QCO does not add external price database support and does not perform profit calculations.
