Azeroth Event Manager supports World of Warcraft Retail and Forever. It brings Retail holiday and micro-event information, objective tracking, map pins, Blizzard waypoints and character progress together in one addon. Find supported active events, review what is left to do and choose where to go next.

Retail & Forever Support

Retail support includes the event, navigation and progress features described below. Retail remains the established release platform.

Forever support currently includes client detection and a separate event-data path in the development build. Verified Forever events have not yet been activated, so Forever objectives, navigation and progress tracking are not currently available. Retail and historical Classic event data are not presented as playable Forever content.

The Forever-enabled development build has not yet been published or tested in the game client. The current public download remains the Retail Release; this page update does not replace that file. Check the file's supported client and release notes before installing.

One Dashboard for Your Event Routine

See supported events when they are enabled and detected as active, then browse available objectives and inspect the current destination. Event information explains the activity and provides the start guidance included in the dataset.

Choose which events to track for each character. Display options let you show completed targets, hide completed zones and keep the current zone near the top of the dashboard.

Not every event is a checklist. Some entries provide information, a starting point or an area marker instead of a complete set of automatically trackable objectives.

Map Pins, Waypoints and Arrow Guidance

Select an eligible destination from the dashboard or an AEM map pin, or enable automatic selection of the next suitable objective. Follow the directional arrow, distance display and Blizzard waypoint for the current destination.

Pause guidance when you want to explore, resume automatic tracking or clear a manual destination. Existing settings control map pins, arrow placement and size, automatic tracking and AEM waypoint handling.

Automatic guidance selects a navigation destination only. It does not move your character, interact with NPCs, accept quests or complete objectives for you. Cross-map guidance depends on available map and travel data; it is not a guaranteed shortest walking route or a live NPC locator.

Progress That Stays With Your Character

Supported completion rules track objectives for the current character. Completing an objective on one character does not mark it complete for all of your other characters.

Eligible completed objectives can be hidden from the dashboard or map. Event-occurrence handling separates repeat event cycles where configured. Completion depends on the individual objective: information entries and area markers are not automatically completable tasks.

Retail Holidays and Micro-Events

The maintained Retail dataset includes entries for:

• Hallow's End, Midsummer Fire Festival and Lunar Festival.
• Brewfest, Winter Veil and Pilgrim's Bounty.
• Noblegarden, Love is in the Air and Children's Week.
• Darkmoon Faire, Day of the Dead, Pirates' Day and Trial of Style.
• Selected micro-events and special events, with event-specific coverage.

These are dataset entries, not a claim that every event is currently active or that every reward and objective is covered. Availability depends on the event's rules, the current occurrence and the information exposed by the game. AEM does not download a continuously updated online event feed.

Lunar Festival dungeon elders: show or hide these entries and choose whether to include them in automatic routing. Guidance leads to the recorded dungeon entrance, not through the instance to the elder.

Getting Started

1. Choose a file intended for your WoW client. For a manual update, close WoW and back up your previous addon folder and WTF settings first.
2. Extract the complete AzerothEventManager folder into that client's Interface/AddOns folder. AzerothEventManager.toc must be directly inside it, without an extra project or version folder.
3. Enable the addon and use /aem or left-click the minimap button to open the dashboard.
4. Right-click the minimap button or use /aem options to choose your event and navigation settings.
5. For supported active Retail content, review an event, select a destination or enable automatic guidance, and follow the waypoint yourself.

Keep existing SavedVariables when updating. An empty event list can mean that events are inactive or disabled, or that no approved data is available for the client. It does not prove that the game has no holidays.

• /aem next - Request the next suitable destination.
• /aem clear - Clear the manual target.
• /aem scan - Rescan supported character progress.
• /aem debug - Open the diagnostic window.
• /aem resetarrow - Restore the arrow position.
• /aem resetbutton - Restore the minimap button position.

Compatibility and Current Scope

Retail and Forever support have different feature coverage, as described above. Ordinary Classic variants are not supported. Unknown clients receive no event dataset.

The dashboard focuses on supported active content; it does not currently provide a separate upcoming-and-expired-event timeline. Dates, coordinates, travel hints and completion behavior depend on maintained event definitions and readable game data.

There is no player-facing Test Mode in the current prepared package. Development fixtures and offline test tools are not included in the installable addon.

Recent technical changes have been checked with automated offline tests, not in-game tests. Actual UI rendering, calendar results, map accuracy, phasing, combat restrictions and interactions with other addons still need real-client verification. This does not change the established Retail release classification.

Debug and Feedback

Use /aem debug to inspect the available tracking and diagnostic information. For a useful report, include:

• Your addon version and actual WoW client, version and build.
• The affected event, objective, zone and character faction.
• The steps to reproduce the problem, expected behavior and actual result.
• A relevant Lua error or diagnostic excerpt.
• Other enabled addons, especially map and waypoint addons.
• A screenshot and UI scale for display problems, if available.
