Pips Family Helper

See which pet families you still need to defeat each trainer with, directly on your World of Warcraft Retail map.

Pips Family Helper adds map markers for 121 Family Battler encounters across all 13 regional achievement sets, plus eight additional Dragonflight world quest encounters. Hover a marker to see all ten pet families, their achievement progress, and the trainer's reset rules.

Features

• Green markers for completed progress, blue for families still needed, and grey question marks when achievement data is unavailable.
• Colour markers by all ten families together, or choose one family from a dropdown.
• Clear Daily reset and No reset labels. World quest availability is shown separately from battle lockouts.
• A trainer browser with hover details, map navigation and waypoints.
• A browser covering 155 achievements: 130 regional family achievements, 13 regional metas, Old World Family Battler, and Family Brawler with its ten PvP family achievements.
• A draggable dragon minimap button, region dropdown, and filters for completed trainers and today's recorded wins.
• Left-click map pins to set a waypoint, Shift-left-click to open the corresponding achievement, or right-click for a copyable Xu-Fu guide link.

Included regions

Eastern Kingdoms, Kalimdor, Northrend, Outland, Cataclysm zones, Broken Isles, Argus, Kul Tiras and Zandalar, Shadowlands, Dragon Isles, Zaralek Cavern, Khaz Algar, and Undermine.

This includes Family Familiar, Family Fighter, Family Battler, Family Exorcist, and all nine region-named Family Battler sets. PvP achievements appear in the achievement browser and have no fixed map locations.

Getting started

Open the world map or type /pfh. Use the Area and Colour by dropdowns to choose what you want to see. Browse trainers and progress opens the trainer list; All 155 family achievements opens the achievement browser.

Minimap button: left-click opens the settings panel, right-click toggles map markers, and dragging moves the button around the minimap.

Reset rules and progress

Achievement progress is read from WoW and never resets. Daily reset labels describe battle availability, not achievement progress. Eastern Kingdoms, Kalimdor, Northrend, Outland and Cataclysm trainer circuits have daily limits. Durian Strongfruit is a per-character daily exception in the Broken Isles; other Family Familiar trainers are repeatable while their world quest is available.

For repeatable trainers, a recorded win today does not prevent more family attempts. Some earlier wins cannot be reconstructed; today's completion can also be marked manually with Shift-right-click. Eastern Kingdoms requires Alliance for the full circuit, and Kalimdor requires Horde. Quest unlocks and phasing still apply.

Compatibility and help

Retail only. No third-party addon dependencies are required. Pips uses its own markers and can run alongside HandyNotes; their markers and tooltips remain separate.

/pfh refresh reloads achievement progress. /pfh debug prints lookup diagnostics if something looks wrong.
