PetPulse 335 is an updated and extensively reworked version of the original PetPulse addon for WoW Classic, created by nulajedan. https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/petpulse
The original Classic PetPulse is a must-have addon for my Hunter, and after adapting it for WoW Forever with PetPulse Forever and Modern/Retail WoW with PetPulse Modern, I wanted to bring that same compact pet-monitoring experience to Wrath of the Lich King.
Unlike Modern WoW, Wrath of the Lich King retains the classic Hunter pet systems that made the original PetPulse so useful, including pet Happiness, feeding, and independent pet experience.
Whether you're returning to Northrend, revisiting an old favorite, or adventuring in a world where patch 3.3.5a never went away, PetPulse 335 brings the familiar circular pet monitor along for the journey.
Full credit to nulajedan for creating the original PetPulse addon and the conceptual basis for the PetPulse family of adaptations.
PetPulse 335 is an independently maintained adaptation for the Wrath of the Lich King 3.3.5a client, preserving the original addon's Classic-style functionality while introducing compatibility updates, improved pet information, and refined Happiness tracking.
Features
PetPulse 335 provides Hunters with a compact circular display for keeping track of important pet information at a glance.
The module can be resized and moved anywhere on your screen, and locked or unlocked in its position.

Pet Happiness
The outer circular ring displays your pet's Happiness.
The ring gradually depletes as your pet's modeled Happiness decreases and progressively replenishes when you feed your pet.
Happiness is represented by three familiar colors:
- Green — Happy (125% Damage)
- Yellow — Content (100% Damage)
- Red — Unhappy (75% Damage)
PetPulse 3.3.5 also displays the next lower Happiness state beneath the current ring.
While your pet is Happy, the green ring gradually reveals the yellow Content ring underneath as Happiness decreases. While Content, the yellow ring reveals the red Unhappy ring.
Feeding your pet progressively restores the Happiness ring, filling clockwise toward the 12 o'clock position.
The tooltip also displays an estimated percentage of remaining Happiness within the current state, such as Happy 96%.
PetPulse uses the client's reported Happiness state alongside modeled progression to provide a useful visual estimate without presenting the modeled percentage as an exact Blizzard-reported value.
Pet Experience
The inner circular ring displays your pet's experience progression toward its next level.
As your pet earns experience, the ring fills clockwise from the 12 o'clock position.
The experience display updates as your pet gains XP and levels up, providing a convenient way to monitor your companion's progress without repeatedly opening the default pet information window.
Pet Status
The center of the PetPulse display shows your pet's current level.
If your pet dies, the level display changes to a death icon. The normal display returns when your pet is revived.
PetPulse also responds to pet dismissal, summoning, and other changes in your active companion.
Detailed Pet Tooltip
Hover over the PetPulse module for additional information about your active pet, including:
- Pet level
- Pet family
- Happiness state and estimated percentage
- Pet experience
- Health
- Strength
- Agility
- Stamina
- Intellect
- Spirit
- Armor
- Damage
- Attack Power
- Attack Speed
- Defense
- Other available pet statistics
PetPulse 335 uses the pet information exposed by the Wrath of the Lich King client to provide a detailed overview of your companion's attributes and combat capabilities.
Classic-Style Pet Monitoring
PetPulse 335 preserves the original Happiness and experience monitoring concept. This makes it especially useful for Hunters who enjoy the older pet-management systems, where feeding, maintaining Happiness, and leveling your companion are still part of the adventure.
The circular display provides an easy peripheral view of your pet's condition and progression without requiring a large pet information window.
Interface
PetPulse 335 retains the compact circular appearance of the original PetPulse, including its distinctive Happiness and experience rings.
The interface includes:
- A movable and resizable circular pet-monitoring module
- Happiness and experience progress indicators
- Pet level and death-status display
- Detailed pet information tooltip
- Customizable display settings
- Minimap access to PetPulse options
You can right-click the PetPulse module to open its options.
PetPulse Family
PetPulse 335 is one of three independently maintained adaptations of the original PetPulse:
PetPulse Forever adapts the addon for World of Warcraft: Forever, retaining and expanding support for Classic-style systems such as pet Happiness, feeding progress, pet experience, and Dependability.
PetPulse Modern adapts the same compact monitoring concept for current Retail WoW, focusing instead on Health, Focus, pet status, and the pet information relevant to Modern Hunters.
PetPulse 335 preserves the original addon's Classic-style functionality while introducing compatibility updates, improved pet information, and refined Happiness tracking for Wrath of the Lich King 3.3.5a.
The three versions are maintained separately because the underlying Hunter pet systems and addon APIs are substantially different.
