Party Hider

Don't need the party frames on the left of your screen? Maybe you use another unit frame addon, watch your group on raid frames, or just want a cleaner screen. Party Hider hides the default party frames and keeps them hidden until you turn them back on.

Features

• Hides the party frames. The party member portraits on the left of the screen and the background behind them disappear, including their pet frames.
• Stays hidden. Your choice is saved, so the frames stay hidden through reloads, relogs and joining new groups. They only come back when you untick the option or remove the addon.
• Raid-style party frames too. If you use the game's "raid-style party frames" setting, those are hidden as well. You can turn this part off in the options.
• Minimap button. Left-click to hide or show the party frames, right-click for the options. Drag it around the minimap edge. The icon turns grey while the frames are showing, so you can see the current state at a glance. Works with round and square minimaps.
• Simple options window. Three checkboxes: hide the party frames, hide the raid-style party frames, and show the minimap button.
• Combat safe. The game doesn't let addons change party frames during combat, so a change made mid-fight happens as soon as combat ends.
• Lightweight. One small file, no libraries, and nothing running in the background.

How to use

• Install it and the party frames are hidden right away.
• Left-click the minimap button to hide or show them.
• Right-click the minimap button for the options.
• Drag the minimap button to move it around the minimap.

Type /partyhider (or /phider) to open the options, /partyhider toggle to hide or show the frames, or /partyhider minimap to hide or show the minimap button. Party Hider also has an entry in Options → AddOns.

Party Hider is one of a few addons I came up with to make quality of life easier for myself while playing WoW Classic Era. The idea and design are my own, and no other author's addon code or artwork is used.
