Namru's QoL
A quality-of-life addon suite for World of Warcraft Retail. One core addon plus a set of optional modules: install the core, then add only the modules you want. Every module shares one options window, one set of profiles and one look — it follows ElvUI or EllesmereUI if you use either, and Blizzard's own style otherwise.
Open the options with /nqol or the minimap icon.
Modules: AddonSets · AutoRepair · Broker · Darkmoon · Misc · MythicPlus · QuestHelper · TrashSeller · Debug
Modules
Namru's QoL (core, required)
The framework every module runs on: the shared options window, profiles (create,
switch, assign per character, export/import as a string), a minimap icon, and /rl as a
shortcut for reloading the UI (only if no other addon has claimed it). Hovering the minimap
icon lists the windows of your modules; right-click jumps to an options page. The options
search shows how many matches each page has. A "Modules" page switches each module on or off,
and "Data per character" clears what the suite keeps about a character you deleted. Escape
closes the suite's windows.
AddonSets
Save your current addon selection as a named set and switch between sets with a
double-click — one set for raiding, one for questing, one for testing. Sets can be renamed,
reordered by drag & drop, and their tooltip shows exactly which addons a load would turn on
or off. Assign a set to a character and you are warned when the active addons drift away
from it; a "Login" row restores the selection you logged in with. Sets belong to your account,
and a single set can be shared with a friend as text. /as lists your sets, /as help shows
the rest. The successor of the standalone AddonSets addon.
AutoRepair
Repairs your gear automatically at any repair vendor, optionally from guild-bank funds first, and reports the cost with session and daily totals (weekly and monthly on request). If you carry a self-repair hammer, it keeps a per-character macro up to date that repairs exactly the damaged items your hammer can handle, one per press, and waits with the gold: once the hammer is done, the rest is repaired automatically — and it shows which of your armor and weapon types your hammer can repair at all. The vendor's "Repair All" works at any time.
Broker
Four LibDataBroker plugins for any broker display (ElvUI data texts, Titan Panel, …):
- Durability — per-slot durability, expected repair cost, last repair and running totals (session, day, week, month, other characters), flashing below a threshold you set.
- Calendar — today's date, pending invitations and upcoming events; click to open the calendar. Optionally deletes your own personal events a few days after they ended.
- Specialization / Loot Spec — current specialization, loot specialization and talent build at a glance; each click and modifier combination can switch any of them.
- Professions — every profession with its skill and unspent knowledge points in a hover window, its extra abilities (overloads, Disenchant, Survey, …) as cast buttons; click a row to open the profession. You choose which professions and abilities are listed.
Darkmoon
Everything for the Darkmoon Faire profession quests on one panel: which of your quests are
still open, what each one still needs, and a distance and route to the quest giver — the
nearest one highlighted. The quests are accepted and turned in for you. While the Faire is
up it buys missing reagents automatically
at vendors it knows, points you to the next vendor that still owes something, and puts the
rest on an Auctionator shopping list.
Where the map takes no waypoint, an arrow on screen shows the way. At the Mystic Mage outside Stormwind and
Orgrimmar the teleport line is picked for you; you only confirm the fee. /nqol darkmoon prepares the whole
shopping trip in one go.
Misc
Small tweaks: Item, Spell and Toy IDs in tooltips, and the "Current Expansion Only" filter preset in the Auction House and in Crafting Orders, and an optional loot-boss reminder for raids, Mythic and Mythic+ dungeons that stays until the boss is really looted (it notices full bags); in Mythic+ it reminds you of the chest at the end. An optional release guard protects "Release Spirit" in raids and Mythic+ keys: after a wipe the button waits a few seconds, needs a held key or asks to confirm - in any combination - and it stays locked while someone nearby who can resurrect you is alive or lies dead with a Soulstone, or while a battle resurrection is left and someone can cast it. Accepting a resurrection is never blocked.
MythicPlus
- Group keystones in the Dungeon Finder's Mythic+ tab: every party member's keystone (received from any group member running an addon that shares keystones), your alts' keystones, and a button to post the list to chat.
- Run summary dashboard after every Mythic+ run: per member keystone, score, loot, deaths, damage taken, DPS, HPS, interrupts and dispels, with a Recent Runs history across all your characters. Click a keystone to teleport to its dungeon.
QuestHelper
Accepts and turns in recurring quests automatically — your own profession quests, and if you want, every daily and weekly quest. Separate switches cover Abundant Offerings, the Void research console, Blingtron's gifts and the quest givers at the pavilion next to the Silvermoon bank. A quest with a reward choice is never turned in for you. Missing profession-quest materials can go straight onto an Auctionator shopping list - for the gathering and enchanting weeklies already when you accept them, one list for all open ones.
TrashSeller
Keeps a list of items you never want to keep — per character and account-wide, filled by drag & drop or imported from a TradeSkillMaster group, exportable as one and copyable from another character — and colors them in your bags (Blizzard, ElvUI, EllesmereUI and Baganator bags). At a vendor the marked items in your bags and reagent bag (never the bank) are sold automatically: a per-run cap keeps every sale buyable-back, an undo button on the merchant window buys the last run back, and a simulation mode only reports in chat what would have been sold. Marked items no vendor buys are flagged in the list and can be destroyed with one confirmed click each, also by right-clicking the module's icon. Its broker shows the module name, how many sell-list items are in your bags (only while there is something to sell), or no text at all; the tooltip adds their sell value.
Debug
A developer tool, not needed for playing: it records diagnostics for the other modules into a saved file on your computer, so a problem you report can be traced. Nothing is sent anywhere. It is off by default; tick it in the addon list if you want to help trace a problem. Its options page has one switch per kind of data: questions about open issues (on), standing checks that help after a game patch (off), and performance data (off).
Installation
Install it with your addon manager, or extract the release ZIP into
World of Warcraft\_retail_\Interface\AddOns\. The ZIP holds the core (NamrusQoL) and
every module (NamrusQoL_<Module>); turn off the modules you do not want in the addon list.
Every module needs NamrusQoL installed and enabled.
Languages
English and German, plus a first version in French, Spanish (Spain and Mexico), Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Korean and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional). The suite follows your game language. Found a wrong or clumsy text? Leave a comment on the addon page with the language, where it appears and what it should say.
Works with
All optional — the suite runs without any of them: ElvUI and EllesmereUI (window style), Baganator (bag coloring), Auctionator (shopping lists), TradeSkillMaster (sell-list import), any LibDataBroker display such as Titan Panel (Broker plugins).
License
GPL-3.0-or-later, with an additional permission for the embedded libraries - see the
LICENSE file in the NamrusQoL folder. The libraries under NamrusQoL/Libs/ keep their
own licenses.
