SimpleFishing

Fishing has never been this relaxing. One keybind to cast, press again to catch. (Tip: WoW's auto-loot works for fishing too!)

Features

• Minimalistic - The only setup needed is to choose what keybind you want to use for fishing.
• One key, two actions — Casts your line; the moment your bobber lands, the same key temporarily switches to reeling it in instead, using Blizzard's own "Interact with Target" soft-targeting (the same thing that normally requires clicking the bobber directly). It switches back to casting automatically once you catch something or interrupt your fishing.
• Simple and easy — Turning on WoW's Auto Loot setting makes your catch auto-loot too!
• No persistent UI — Nothing sits on your screen during normal play.

Usage

• First time only: A small setup popup appears. Choose the key you want to fish with — that's it. Click "Done" to close it permanently. Bring it back any time (e.g. to change the key) with /simplefishing setup or /fish setup.
• Press your key to cast, and press it again once your bobber is out to catch.
• Slash commands (both /simplefishing and /fish work identically):
  • /simplefishing setup — show the setup popup again
  • /simplefishing reset — clear the saved keybind and setup state, and reopen setup from scratch

Notes

SimpleFishing uses WoW's Soft Targeting accessibility feature to reel in the catch — it temporarily widens the aim arc/range while your bobber is out and restores your original values afterward.
