NameBox
Your character's name on screen, lettered in the game's own fonts — bold, epic, and in a tidy MuninBox you can put wherever you like.
Features
- Your name, in the game's own lettering — no fonts to install and nothing that looks out of place, because every style is taken straight from the client's own font set.
- Five styles to pick from — Zone title (the thick-outlined cream lettering you see riding into a new zone sometimes, and the default), Quest scroll, Combat numbers, Narrow, or Default interface.
- Capitals on or off — set your name in full capitals the way the game titles a zone, or in standard capitalization.
- Size slider — anywhere from 10 to 48. The box resizes itself to fit whatever you choose.
- Movable, lockable, and starts locked — same MuninBox behaviour as the rest of the suite; Alt+Right-click-drag repositions it without a separate unlock step.
- Reset position — one button in settings puts it back at the top of your screen for easy default repositioning.
- Show In: World/PvP/Arena/Dungeon/Raid/Scenario — choose where you want to see it or not, from Esc → Options → AddOns → Munin.NameBox.
- Every language — each style resolves to whatever face your client uses for your own alphabet, so it renders properly on every locale.
Usage
- Alt + Right-click and drag the box to reposition it — it unlocks as you grab it and locks itself again when you let go.
- All options live in Esc → Options → AddOns → Munin.NameBox: text style, size, capitals, reset position, and the Show In categories.
- Slash commands are also available:
/namebox lock— lock the box in place/namebox unlock— unlock it for dragging/namebox toggle— flip between the two/namebox reset— put it back at its starting position
Roadmap
- An option for how much of the name to show: first + last or first name only on WoW Forever, and your realm name or name only on retail.
Notes
NameBox only displays your character's name — position it where you want, style it to your preference.
