Description
Forever has Blizzard's own Click Casting (under Key Bindings), on Blizzard's frames. Lifesworn is for a healer who wants what VuhDo, Healbot or Grid with Clique gave on other versions of WoW Classic: frames of its own, made for healing, built around what Forever's addon rules allow rather than ported from the old ones.
What Lifesworn adds
- Healer frames of its own for a party, a raid of up to 40, or just you: one column per raid group (or one row per group), each group in raid order, by name, or tanks then healers. Move, scale and resize them;
/lsw test 25previews a raid when you do not have one. Blizzard's party and raid frames are hidden so the two do not sit side by side. - Downranking from a rank list. Each mouse button lists the spells you have learned that can be cast on a friend, with a Rank list beside it. "Highest" follows your training: a level 10 priest's right click is Lesser Heal and becomes Flash Heal the day you learn it. Pick a lower rank to downrank on purpose, or drag a lower rank from your spellbook.
- Your HoTs counting down in combat. Forever hides every aura from addons once a fight starts, so Lifesworn times your own casts: cast Rejuvenation, Renew or any spell you watch and its corner counts down on that frame through the whole fight, restarting when you cast it again. HoTs you put up before the pull keep counting.
- Names in full. As installed, no name is cut to a set length: rather than cut one, Lifesworn leaves out the surname's initial, then sets it a point or two smaller, and keeps it clear of the corners and the role icon. Only a name too long for the frame even then loses its end. With room, a name gets its surname's first letter ("Aldric B"), because on Forever first names repeat.
- Debuffs, in a fight too. A debuff you can remove colours the whole frame in its type's colour (green for poison, purple for a curse), and your dispel binding removes it from the frame you click. Icons in the frame's bottom-left corner (two as installed, up to four) show more: as installed, the debuffs Blizzard's own raid frames show in a fight (mostly boss mechanics), and on the Auras page you can choose only the ones you can remove, all of them, or none. Forever hides auras from addons in combat, so the game itself draws both on Lifesworn's frames; Lifesworn never reads them.
And the rest of what a healer frame does
- Click-casting on any button: left, right, middle, buttons 4 and 5 and the mouse wheel, each with any mix of Shift, Ctrl and Alt. Bind a spell, a macro, target, focus, assist or the unit menu. Priests, druids, paladins and shamans start with a working set (a druid: Healing Touch on the right button, Rejuvenation and Regrowth with Shift, the cures with Ctrl), and every class with left-click to target. Blizzard's own Click Casting does not apply to Lifesworn's frames, so what you set in Lifesworn is what happens.
- Health you can read: class colours or green to red, the missing amount (gone at full health), incoming heals, yours and others', shields (ending in a pale blue line, so a shield shows at full health too) and mana bars.
- What else you would look for: range fading, aggro and target outlines, role and raid-target icons, ready checks, resurrections and summons on their way.
- Share and keep your setup:
/lsw exportand/lsw importas one string, BLib's profiles to copy it to another character, and a "Use global settings" box on each character if one should be set up differently. - Plays well with EllesmereUI: with its Raid Frames on, Lifesworn builds nothing and says so once;
/lsw use oursruns Lifesworn instead.

What Forever does not allow
In combat the game hides health, most aura details and range from addons. Addons can still show them, but cannot decide anything from them. So there is no "lowest health first" sorting and no health-based alerts, and a debuff you cannot remove is shown but not singled out by name. Lifesworn says plainly what it cannot do rather than guessing.
Requirements
BLib, which the CurseForge app installs with it; keep it updated alongside this addon. Raid buffs and debuffs for every role are Shieldwall's (a separate addon); Lifesworn is healer frames only.
Version support
Built for and used on WoW: Forever. A 0.x, seen working alone on the beta, and in a party in a dungeon on an earlier beta build. The beta closed on 24 October and there is no Forever client until launch, so 0.1.2 was tested on retail (12.1.5), where the same addon rules apply. Not yet seen in a group: range fading, a raid, someone joining or leaving in the middle of a fight, ready checks, resurrections, summons and another healer's incoming heals. They are built, and reports from a group are the most useful thing you can send.
