Official Hardcore realms are coming to World of Warcraft: Forever, but not during the beta. LastLife Beta lets you play the hardcore challenge right now: it tracks your deaths, enforces your rules and warns you about everything that could end your run.

Unofficial, honor-based challenge made for the WoW Forever beta, until official Hardcore arrives.

⚔️ Choose Your Fate

When you enter the world with a new character, right after the intro cinematic, a medieval screen asks you to choose your path:

• Normal: play as usual. LastLife stays completely silent on this character: no alerts, no messages, no minimap button.
• Hardcore: one life only. Your run starts now.

No need to disable the addon on your alts: every character gets its own choice.

✨ Features

• 💀 Death screen: when you die, a full-screen "YOU DIED" screen shows your level, zone, killer and play time.
• 📢 Guild announcement: your death is announced to your guild (can be turned off).
• 🏃 "RUN! RUN! RUN!" alarm: when your health drops below 30%, the screen edges pulse red and an alarm sounds until you're safe.
• ⚠️ Danger alerts: warns you when you target a PvP-flagged player, an elite, a skull-level mob or a much higher level mob, and when you get PvP flagged yourself.
• ✅ Run verification: tracked play time, starting level and rule violations, with a clear Verified / Unverified badge.
• 😅 Close calls: counts every time you survived under 10% health, and remembers your closest call ever.
• 📊 Run stats: mobs killed, quests completed, play time.
• 🎉 Level up banner: "LEVEL 20 – Still alive", with a guild announcement every 10 levels.
• 🪦 Last words: write your last words on the death screen. They're sent to your guild and engraved in your graveyard.
• ⚰️ Graveyard: all your fallen characters on the account, with class, level, killer, zone, date and last words.
• 🛡️ Guild board: see which guildmates are running LastLife, their level, and who is still alive. Get an alert when one of them dies.
• 🎥 Streamer frame: a clean frame with your status, level, time alive and stats, ready to show on stream.
• 🏰 Medieval look: stone frames, gold ornaments, gothic fonts and floating embers, made to feel like part of the game.
• 💾 Your run is safe: your hardcore run, rules, stats and graveyard are kept after a reload or a relog, even with the Forever beta bug that resets other addons.
• ↩️ Picked Hardcore by mistake? Type /hc stop to switch the character back to normal mode.
• 🪶 Lightweight: no libraries, no dependencies.

❓ Good to Know

• Honor-based: an addon cannot delete a character. LastLife records your death and marks the run as over. The rest is up to you.
• Killer name: the modern client doesn't give addons full combat details, so the killer shown is the last enemy you had targeted.
• Beta data: LastLife keeps a backup of your run to survive the beta bug that resets addon data. If that backup is ever lost too, your run will be marked unverified.
• Starting late: you can start a hardcore run on an existing character, but it will be marked unverified.
