Lafee ElvUI Power Bar Tick
Lafee ElvUI Power Bar Tick is a lightweight World of Warcraft Retail plugin that adds configurable vertical markers to the player's power bar. It is designed primarily for Death Knight Runic Power management and integrates cleanly with ElvUI.
Default markers
- Tick 1: fixed at 35 Runic Power.
- Tick 2: maximum Runic Power minus 30.
The second marker always uses the character's real maximum returned by the game API. It appears at 70 with a 100 Runic Power maximum and at 80 with a 110 maximum. The addon never assumes that the maximum is 100.
Features
- Native support for the ElvUI player PowerBar.
- Lightweight Blizzard player power bar fallback when ElvUI is unavailable or its player power bar is disabled.
- Automatic updates after PowerBar resizing, maximum power changes, specialization changes, login, reloads, and ElvUI profile updates.
- Two independently configurable markers.
- Fixed-value and
maximum minus valuemodes. - Adjustable marker width, opacity, individual colors, and texture.
- One-click reset to the default settings.
- No external libraries and no permanent
OnUpdateloop. - Localized options for every supported World of Warcraft client language.
Configuration
Settings are available in all of the following places:
- ElvUI > Lafee ElvUI Power Bar Tick
- Options > AddOns > Lafee ElvUI Power Bar Tick
/lpbt
The addon can be restricted to Death Knights and to times when Runic Power is the active resource. Each marker can be enabled separately and configured as either a fixed value or a value relative to the current maximum.
Use Reset to defaults in the ElvUI plugin options or the standard WoW addon settings to restore the original 35 and maximum - 30 markers.
Compatibility
- World of Warcraft Retail 12.1 / Midnight
- ElvUI 15.25 and later 15.x releases
- Blizzard player frame fallback
ElvUI is an optional dependency. This addon never edits ElvUI files or settings; it only attaches its own non-interactive overlay to the detected PowerBar.
Installation
- Extract the addon into
World of Warcraft/_retail_/Interface/AddOns. - Make sure the installed folder is named
lafee_elvui_power_bar_tick. - Enable Lafee ElvUI Power Bar Tick on the character selection screen.
- Log in or use
/reload.
For the best result after updating ElvUI or changing a unit frame profile, use /reload once and verify the marker positions on the player PowerBar.
Feedback
When reporting a problem, please include your WoW version, ElvUI version, character class and specialization, current maximum power, and any Lua error shown by BugSack or the built-in error display.
