Description

Hammerprice

An auction house addon for WoW: Forever. It scans the auction house, keeps a price database, puts prices on item tooltips, and adds buying, selling and cancelling tools to the auction house. Two optional companion addons come in the same download: Hammerprice Mail for the mailbox and Hammerprice Crafting for a crafting queue.

Blizzard requires a key or mouse press for every post, bid, buyout and cancel, so none of those are automated. Hammerprice lines each one up so that it takes a single press.

Prices

  • Full scan: reads the whole auction house in one request, about once every 15 minutes per account. Start it from the Scan button in the auction house window or with /hp scan.
  • Passive prices: every complete search result, yours or the addon's, updates the database.
  • Per item: market value, lowest buyout, a 14-day weighted history, vendor price and crafting cost from every Forever recipe.
  • Network prices: the Hammerprice desktop app shares scans with other players and brings their prices into the game. Whichever is newer, your scan or the network's, is used. Sharing can be turned off in Settings.

Tooltips

  • Market value, lowest buyout and vendor price for one item; hold Shift for the whole stack. Can be set to show nothing until Shift is held.
  • How many of the item each of your characters owns, including bank, mail and auctions.

Buy

  • One menu picks what to buy: a search, a shopping group, or Deals.
  • Search works like Blizzard's Buy tab, with level, item level, quality, price, category, type and armor slot filters, or TSM's shorthand in the box (/rare/plate/chest/50g, several searches joined with ;). Random-suffix gear is grouped under its item.
  • Shopping groups list each item's need (its quantity less what your characters own and what you've bought), what's listed under its max price, and how the lowest compares with market value.
  • Deals lists what the last full scan saw under a share of market value (50 to 90%) for items that sell, with filters for sale rate and resale profit.
  • Buy next, which can be bound to a key, says what its next press buys and moves to the next item after each purchase.
  • A purchase at or over a share of your gold (10% by default) asks first.

Sell and cancel

  • Sell: pick a bag item, see the competition, and post at an undercut with one press per auction. Sort your bags by total value, margin, margin %, price, quantity or name.
  • Auctioning operations, TSM-style: Min, Normal and Max as a percentage of market value or a fixed price, undercut, how many to keep and to have up at once, and duration. Show a group's bags in Sell and post the whole group with Post next.
  • Auctions: see which of your auctions are undercut and cancel them one press at a time. An item with an operation is cancelled only when the operation would post lower.

Groups

  • Nested groups of items, like TSM's, edited in the /hp window. Add items by dropping them, shift-clicking them, or typing a name or ID; drag them between groups.
  • Each group can carry auctioning, mail and crafting operations. Subgroups inherit their parent's and can change single fields. When an item is in several groups, the more specific group wins, then the operation's Priority.
  • Ungrouped items takes an operation for everything in your bags that's in no group.

Ledger and item card

  • Ledger: gold per character over time; every sale to a merchant or on the auction house, purchase, cancel and expiry; each item's sell rate. Filter by character, period, kind or text, or roll it up by item.
  • Item card: an item's prices, 14-day history, crafting cost and margin, and the groups it's in. Open it from an item's name, a ledger entry, or /hp price <item>.

Hammerprice Mail

  • Inbox: every mail as one row, with search and Sold, Expired, Won and Letters filters. Open all opens whatever is shown, stopping when your bags are full and reloading when the server holds more than 50 mails.
  • Send: to your characters or recent names, twelve attachment slots, gold or COD.
  • Mail operations send a group's items to one of your characters, keeping a number back or restocking them to a count. Send all mails every group's items, and spare gold if set.

Hammerprice Crafting

  • Crafting queue: queue crafts by hand or with Restock, which fills each group's crafting operation from what your characters own.
  • Profit per craft, who can craft it, and a shopping list: what your bags, bank, mailbox and other characters hold, what one of your characters can craft first, and the rest from a vendor or the auction house, whichever is cheaper.
  • Replaces the profession window, with a Craft button for the next ready craft (/click HammerpriceCraftButton in a macro).
  • Recipes: every recipe's cost, profit and who knows it.
  • Missing materials show up as a source in the Buy tab and on merchants that sell them.
  • Gathering: at the mailbox, your other characters send the crafter the materials they hold for the queue; at the bank, a card takes them out into your bags.

Commands

  • /hp opens the Hammerprice window anywhere: Ledger, Groups, Settings.
  • /hp scan starts a full scan at the auction house.
  • /hp price <item> opens an item's card.
  • /hp help lists every command.

For addon authors

Other addons can read prices with Hammerprice.GetPrice(itemLinkOrID, source).
