GRIP-EMS Modern UI

GRIP-EMS Modern UI is an optional companion addon for GRIP-EMS. It reskins the main GRIP-EMS window into a wider, modern 3-column layout with sidebar navigation, a dedicated config column, and an Ability Preview icon strip along the bottom.

Your rotations, macros, variables, and saved settings are unchanged — this addon only changes how the GRIP-EMS interface is laid out and navigated.

• GRIP-EMS v2.2.0 or newer (must be installed and enabled)
• WoW Retail (Midnight)

What's included

3-column main window

Replaces GRIP-EMS's classic two-panel layout with a wider shell:

• Nav rail — persistent vertical sidebar for quick access to all major views
• Center column — rotation list, sequence metadata, and the sequence editor
• Config column — keybind capture and rotation preview controls while you edit

Sidebar navigation

Jump between views from one place:

• Sequences (rotation list)
• Editor (Steps tab)
• Macros, Conditions, Variables, Variants, and Source
• Vehicle / Pet battle binds
• Import, Export, Options, and About

Config sidebar

While editing a rotation, the right column keeps keybind setup and preview controls visible without crowding the editor.

Ability Preview footer

An icon strip along the bottom of the main window shows the abilities in the current rotation preview at a glance.

Sequence metadata column

When browsing rotations, metadata (class, spec, step count, versions, status, and more) appears in a dedicated column beside the list.

Overview of GRIP-EMS and related addons/plugins detected on your account.

Installation

1. Install GRIP-EMS and GRIP-EMS Modern UI (addon folder name: Grip-EMS_ModernUI)
2. Enable both addons on the character select screen
3. Type /reload
4. Open the GRIP-EMS main window — the modern layout applies automatically

If the main window was already open before installing, close and reopen it or /reload once so the new panels initialize correctly.

Using the classic layout

This addon is fully optional. To return to GRIP-EMS's original two-panel UI:

1. Disable GRIP-EMS Modern UI in the AddOns list
2. Type /reload

GRIP-EMS continues to work normally with its classic layout.

Localization

Modern UI strings are available in:

English, German, Spanish (ES/MX), French, Italian, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.

Non-English locales are machine-translated and marked for community review.

Notes

• Requires GRIP-EMS's plugin API (v2) — keep GRIP-EMS updated
• Does not add new rotation logic or change how sequences run in combat
