Overview

Druid Forever Manabar is a lightweight World of Warcraft addon created specifically for Druids who want to keep track of their Mana while shapeshifted.

The addon adds a dedicated Mana bar that remains visible while using forms such as Cat Form, Bear Form, Dire Bear Form, Travel Form, and Aquatic Form, while also providing a visual tracker for the Five Second Rule so you can easily see when your natural Spirit-based Mana regeneration is about to resume.

The bar is designed to fit cleanly beneath the default Blizzard Player Frame, but can also be unlocked and positioned anywhere on your screen.

Key Features

• Mana Tracking While Shapeshifted: Keep your Mana visible even while Cat Form, Bear Form, Dire Bear Form, Travel Form, or Aquatic Form is using another primary resource such as Energy or Rage.

• Five Second Rule Tracker: An integrated visual progress indicator tracks the 5-second regeneration delay after spending Mana. The indicator progresses across the bar and disappears when natural Spirit-based Mana regeneration can resume.

• Optional Countdown Timer: Display a numeric countdown beneath the Mana bar showing exactly how much time remains before the Five Second Rule expires.

• Smart Mana Spell Detection: The timer only resets when Mana is actually spent. Cat abilities using Energy and Bear abilities using Rage will not incorrectly restart the countdown.

• Caster Form Support: The Mana bar can optionally remain visible while outside shapeshift forms, giving you one consistent Mana display regardless of your current form.

• Accurate Mana Percentage: Displays your current Mana percentage directly on the bar for quick resource awareness.

• Player Frame Snapping: By default, the bar can sit neatly beneath the standard Blizzard Player Frame using carefully adjusted positioning.

• Movable Mode: Disable snapping to freely drag the Mana bar anywhere on your screen.

• Customizable Appearance: Adjust the bar width, height, scale, font size, visibility options, and other display settings directly from the addon configuration menu.

• Selectable Fonts: Choose between several built-in World of Warcraft fonts, including Arial Narrow, Friz Quadrata, Morpheus, and Skurri.

• Lightweight Event-Based Design: Uses modern WoW events for spell and resource tracking to avoid unnecessary constant polling and keep performance impact minimal.

How the Five Second Rule Tracker Works

Whenever you successfully cast a spell that consumes Mana, the addon begins a 5-second countdown.

During this period, the visual indicator moves across the Mana bar to show how much time remains before your normal Spirit-based Mana regeneration resumes.

Casting another Mana-costing spell resets the timer back to five seconds.

Abilities that use Energy, Rage, or no Mana at all are ignored, allowing the tracker to accurately represent your actual Mana regeneration state while playing in shapeshift forms.

Getting Started

1. Type /dfm in-game or right-click the Mana bar to open the addon settings.

2. Enable or disable Player Frame snapping depending on whether you want the bar locked beneath your unit frame or freely movable.

3. Customize the bar size, UI scale, font, countdown display, and caster-form visibility to match your interface.

4. Cast a Mana-costing spell and watch the Five Second Rule tracker to see exactly when your natural Mana regeneration resumes.

You can also use:

/dfm test

to manually trigger the Five Second Rule display for testing.

And:

/dfm debug

to show useful information for troubleshooting and bug reports.

Compatibility

Druid Forever Manabar is developed specifically for World of Warcraft: Forever.

Since WoW Forever is currently in active development, Blizzard may continue making changes to the addon API. If you encounter any issues, bug reports and feedback are greatly appreciated.
