DonData
The quest database of Questdon and Leveldon, for WoW Forever and WoW Classic Era, as an addon of its own. You do not need to do anything with it: the CurseForge app installs it together with Questdon and Leveldon. It has no window and nothing to set up. Installing by hand? Put the DonData folder next to the other addons in Interface\AddOns.
What is in it
- Quests with their givers, turn-ins, chains, levels, races and classes
- Quest objectives and the spawn points of objective mobs and objects
- Quest texts, patrol routes of quest NPCs
- Dungeons with their levels, names in your game language and entrances
- Inns, auction houses, flight masters and banks
- Ways around mountains for the compass
One download for both games: WoW Forever loads Data, WoW Classic Era loads DataEra.
What it does
- Learns while you play: where quests really start and end, where their objectives are and the names of NPCs, together with what other Questdon players share. DonData keeps what was learned, so Leveldon uses it too, also without Questdon.
- One gear score: a value for every item for your class and talent tree (stats, armor, weapon damage). Questdon's reward advice and Geardon's upgrade arrow both use it, so they agree.
- Light: quest texts are only read when one is first needed.
Why an addon of its own
Several Don addons read the same quest data. Kept in one place, it is loaded once, and every addon gets the same, current data.
Which addons use it
- Questdon and Leveldon need it.
- Geardon uses it when it is there (the shared gear score) and works without it.
For addon authors
Other addons read the data and the gear score through DonDataAPI (version 4).
Data sources
Quest data from All The Things (MIT) and CMaNGOS classic-db (GPL v3), our players' recordings and checks in the game. Data from ForeverDB.net (https://foreverdb.net): quest texts and levels from the Forever quest cache, Forever quests, turn-in NPCs and sightings.
