Curtain Call Changelog
1.3.3
Fixes
- Fixed some animation lines doing nothing, for example ROLE (anim sorry). The game knows some emotes by a different name than their slash command (/sorry is really "apologize"). Curtain Call now reads the game's own list of emote commands, so any emote you can type in chat works in a script.
- If an animation line names an emote the game doesn't have (usually a typo), you now get a message in chat instead of nothing happening.
- Added a built-in backup list of alternate emote commands (such as /sorry, /lol, /yes, /lie and /question), used if the game's own list can't be read.
- Fixed (anim yes) and (anim question) asking the game for emotes that don't exist. They now perform the nod and the questioning "talk" emotes.
1.3.2
Fixes
- Stage directions now work in soapbox acts. Before, they were silently skipped.
- A direction is shown on the cue card and Stage page before the line written after it. With [wait N], your cue button waits that many seconds before the line can be spoken, with a countdown. With [hold], the first press of your cue button means "ready" and the next press speaks the line.
- In shuffled soapboxes, a direction stays with the line written after it.
- Jumping to a line by hand shows its direction but skips the wait.
1.3.1
New
- Problems listed under CHECK on the Script page can now be clicked. Clicking one jumps straight to that line in the editor and selects it, ready to fix.
1.3.0
New
- Choose each role's color. Click the colored bar beside a role on the Cast page and pick from 14 colors, choose "Custom color..." to use the game's color picker, or "Automatic" to go back to the default.
- The color is used everywhere the role appears: Cast page, cue card, prompter, Stage page and chat messages.
- Role colors are saved with the production and sent to your cast with the script and casting, so everyone sees the same colors.
Fixes
- Fixed script offers and other private addon messages sometimes not arriving when whispering a player had already failed more than 10 minutes earlier. They're now resent through your group or guild as intended.
1.2.2
Fixes
- Fixed scripts being re-sent over and over to a player who never confirms they received it (for example someone on 1.1.3 or older). They now get exactly one extra copy and are then marked "no reply" in the Transfers window.
1.2.1
Fixes
- "Anyone may press Next" now applies to the whole cast. The setting of whoever starts the show is sent to every actor, and changing it mid-show updates everyone. Before, it only affected your own addon, so turning it off didn't stop actors pressing Next.
- With it off, actors' Next buttons are disabled, and Next presses from players who aren't stage managers are ignored, even from players on older versions. Actors still speak their own lines with their cue button as normal.
Changes
- The Stage page shows "Next: stage managers only" when that's in effect.
1.2.0
New
- Stage managers: add as many as you need on the Cast page with "+ Add stage manager" (or right-click a player in the users list). Any stage manager can go back, jump to a line, change scenes and end the show, so the show carries on if one disconnects.
- Stage managers are saved with the production and sent along with the script and casting.
- A player who reloads or reconnects mid-show is brought back in by any stage manager, even if the one who started the show has left.
- Outdated version warnings: players on an older Curtain Call are marked in yellow on the Cast page, in the Stage page's cast list and in the Transfers window. The stage manager gets a warning listing them when a show starts and after a ready check.
- If someone in your group or guild has a newer Curtain Call than you, you get a message asking you to update.
1.1.4
New
- New Transfers window that lists every script you've sent and each player receiving it, with live progress and whether they've received it. Open it with /curtain transfers, the minimap button's right-click menu, the Transfers button on the Productions page, or by clicking a "Sending..." progress bar.
- Receivers now confirm when a script has arrived, so the sender can see exactly who has it.
- Option to turn the on-screen progress bars off (in the Transfers window). The Transfers window works either way.
Changes
- Sending to a party or raid shows a single progress bar ("Sending ... to the raid (12 players), 8 received") instead of one per player.
- Players who accept while a copy is already going to the group now pick up that copy instead of starting another.
- Anyone who hasn't confirmed shortly after a transfer finishes automatically gets one more copy.
1.1.3
New
- Script transfers now show a progress bar near the top of the screen with a live percentage, for both the sender and the receiver. It names the script and the other player, turns green at 100%, and disappears on its own. Click it to hide it early.
1.1.2
Fixes
- Fixed scripts being sent over and over. A script is now only sent once to each person at a time: offering it again or clicking Accept again while it's on its way no longer starts another copy.
- Raised the largest script that can be received from 60 KB to 200 KB. A clear message now appears if a script is ever too large.
Changes
- Scripts now transfer about three times faster by spreading the pieces over three addon channels, while still staying within the game's limits.
- Both sides are told the script's size and roughly how long it will take when a transfer starts, get a "halfway there" message on long transfers, and get a message when it's done.
- The Productions page shows the download progress as a percentage.
- Script pieces are now numbered, so they are put back together correctly even if they arrive out of order.
1.1.1
Fixes
- Fixed script offers from party or raid members being ignored with "they're not in your group or guild". Group members are now recognised from their messages on the party or raid channel, and also when the game reports only their first name.
1.1.0
New
- Choose which chat tab shows Curtain Call's messages: Settings > Chat Messages. This covers everything the addon prints, including show updates, received scripts, notes and rehearsal lines.
- New "New tab" button creates a "Curtain Call" chat tab that shows only Curtain Call messages, with no general, trade or LFG chat.
- If the chosen tab is renamed or closed, messages go back to the default chat tab.
Changes
- Clearer message when a show starts. It now says whether cues are synced through your party, your raid, or (when you're not in a group) your guild, and suggests inviting the cast to a party.
1.0.9
Fixes
- Fixed an empty "Scene 1" appearing before the real first scene when a script has a "Setting:" line (or a "> note") above its first scene heading.
- A "Setting:" line above the first scene now describes the whole production and is shown on the Productions page. Scripts without any scene headings still use it as their scene's setting.
- Scripts you already imported are fixed automatically. No need to import them again.
1.0.8
New
- Blocked players can now be unblocked one at a time. Settings > Manage... opens a list of everyone you've blocked, each with its own Unblock button.
- You can also block a player by name from the same window.
- New commands: /curtain blocked (open the list), /curtain block <name> and /curtain unblock <name>.
Changes
- "Unblock everyone" is still available in the blocked players window, and now asks for confirmation first.
1.0.7
Fixes
- Fixed actors' cue cards drifting apart when people had different "Line matching" settings. During a show, everyone now uses the stage manager's setting, and changes they make mid-show are sent to the whole cast.
- When the stage manager's addon recognises a line that nobody else announced, it now tells the rest of the cast, so everyone moves on together.
- Matching a line further ahead in the script (skipping lines) now requires a near-exact match, so a vague or improvised line can no longer jump one actor ahead of the others.
- Animation lines are only matched when they are the current line.
- Reduced addon message traffic by dropping outdated cues before they are sent.
Changes
- The Stage page shows the matching level in use for the current show.
1.0.6
Fixes
- Long stage directions are no longer cut off.
- The cue card now shows the full text of the current stage direction above your line, and grows taller to fit long text. The direction just before your line also stays visible (dimmed) for context.
- The prompter wraps the current line and stage directions onto several lines, and resizes itself to fit.
- Hover over any line in the prompter or the Stage page list to read the whole line in a tooltip.
- The Stage page status line now wraps onto two lines instead of cutting text off.
1.0.5
New
- Jump to any line: click a line in the Stage page list, or type its number in the new Line # box and press Go. Also available as "Go to..." on the prompter, "Go to line..." on the cue card's right-click menu, and /curtain goto <number>.
- Soapbox acts can now be jumped around too, and in sequence order the Back button steps back one line.
- New script option "Repeat: yes" for soapbox acts that should start over by themselves.
- New command /curtain restart.
Changes
- Soapbox acts now stop after their last line instead of looping forever. Shuffled acts stop once every line has been used. A "Curtain down" banner and an "End of script" cue card let you know, with a Start over option.
- Shows now announce "The End" as soon as the last line of the final scene is delivered, and Next no longer moves past it.
- Lines already spoken in a soapbox are dimmed on the Stage page.
1.0.4
New
- Added a minimap button with the Curtain Call logo. Left-click opens the addon, right-click opens quick options, and dragging moves it around the minimap.
- Added a "Show minimap button" option to Settings and the /curtain minimap command.
- The Curtain Call logo now appears in the AddOns list, the main window and on-screen banners.
1.0.3
Changes
- Scripts must now always be accepted manually. The auto-accept options and the "Always trust" button have been removed.
- Joining a show that requires downloading or updating a script now always asks first.
Security
- Private addon messages are now only accepted from players in your group or guild.
- New setting: "Accept script offers from" (My group only, or My group and guild).
- A script download is only accepted from the player you accepted it from.
- Received scripts are cleaned of formatting codes and control characters and are size-limited.
- Added a Block button to the script offer popup and an "Unblock all" option in Settings.
- Offer popups are limited to one per player every 20 seconds.
Fixes
- Fixed tab names in the main window sliding over their icons when clicked.
1.0.2
Fixes
- Fixed scripts not arriving after the recipient clicked Accept. The sender received a "No player named ... is currently playing" error.
- If a hidden whisper fails, Curtain Call now automatically resends it through your group or guild channel, addressed only to that player.
- Hidden the repeated "No player named" messages caused by the addon's own messages.
1.0.1
Fixes
- Fixed first and last names (for example "Robert Smith") being joined together, which caused scripts to be sent to players who don't exist.
- The addon now recognizes your own messages correctly even when the game reports only your first name.
- Names containing a hyphen are no longer mistaken for a realm name.
