Craft Consumables

A lightweight addon that shows you the best elixirs, potions and food you can make for any of your characters. No extra windows, it just adds a Consumables for [name] category to the top of your Alchemy and Cooking windows with those recipes.

It looks and works like the rest of the crafting window: click a recipe to open it, right-click to favorite it, hover it to see the item. When that character levels up it moves on to the next rank, so you always know what to make and mail them next.

Best means the most of the stats that character's class and spec use. Lower ranks drop off as soon as a better one can be used, and anything above their level is left out. Please let me know if something shows up for the wrong class.

Picking a character

Pick who you're crafting for in the crafting window's Filter menu under Consumables For. Until you pick one it uses the last character you played. Every character on the same realm and faction is listed, log in on each one once so Craft Consumables can see their class, level and talents.

What it shows

On your Alchemy window it shows elixirs and flasks for that character's stats, plus healing and mana potions, combat potions for their role and protection potions. Elixirs of the same stat replace each other, so it only shows the best one for each stat.

On your Cooking window it shows food with a Well Fed buff, the best one for each stat. Food that only heals you is left out.

Each recipe shows how many that character has in their bags after its name, so you can see what they're running low on.

Settings

There's no settings window, everything is in the crafting window's Filter menu:

• Consumables For picks the character you're crafting for
• Role for [name] goes by their talents, or lets you pick a role yourself
• Show Unlearned Recipes also lists recipes you haven't learned yet
• Healing and Mana Potions, Combat Potions and Protection Potions turn each kind of potion off

Limitations

• A character only shows up after they've logged in once with the addon on
• Bag counts are from the last time that character was logged in, and their bank isn't counted
• Food buffs that aren't stats, like fishing skill or movement speed, are left out
• Only works with the English game for now
