Description
This addon will completely replace your chat frame with a new one, with modern features such as:
- Even with the fancy features, it is fast.
- Smooth scrolling
- Fading messages as they come in and out of view
- Stylish themes (Dark, Blizzard, ElvUI and GW2)
- Edit-mode free chat box resizing/moving
- Aligned timestamps separately from the messages, with options to configure format
- Ability to set message spacing
- Persistent command/typed chat history and navigatable with arrow keys
- 2,500+ message history, persisting across sessions
Why write a new chat addon?
Initially it was just about getting the timestamps aligned properly. However after starting I realised that I needed to replace the chat frames to get the right effect.
As I was replacing the frame I could probably improve the default UI significantly if I invested the time. This addon is what has been created so far.
