Calg's Raid Planner
Prep the whole raid, boss by boss — and let everyone see exactly what they still need to do.
The raid leader drives a full planning window: build the roster, assign duties, and watch a raid-wide readiness board light up as people get consumed and buffed. Everyone else running the addon gets a tiny personal card that spells out precisely what they need to fix before the pull — consumables, their job for the fight, and the boss's own requirements.
Lightweight, movable, and drawn from scratch to look right at home in Classic.
Why you'll want it
- A readiness board for the raid. One glance shows who's flask'd, fed, world-buffed, weapon-oiled, and carrying the right elixirs — grouped by Tanks / Healers / DPS. Hover any cell for the detail. People without the addon are still read where possible (an in-range buff scan), and honestly flagged when they can't be.
- Boss-by-boss requirements. Every encounter across the classic raids is mapped with a short mechanic note. Add per-boss readiness checks from a catalog — Frost Resistance, the five Protection Potions, the Onyxia Scale Cloak — and mark each required or optional. Sensible defaults are set (Sapphiron Frost Resistance, Kel'Thuzad Frost Protection), and any lead/assist can tailor them per boss; the choices drive everyone's personal display.
- Plan the roster ahead of time. Lay out the eight groups by drag-and-drop, pull the live raid in, or add players who aren't even online yet from the Not Rostered list and set their class. Lock the slots you're sure of, then Sort Raid to Plan rearranges the live raid to match.
- Assign duties, fast. Per-section add / suggest / clear, plus one-click Suggest All for a sensible default set (tank markers, blessings, group buffs, curses, Soulstones, Power Infusion, Innervate, Fear Ward, and more). Pin the assignments you don't want overwritten. A live preview shows exactly what a raider will see.
- A personal checklist for every raider. A small card with four sections — Buffs, Consumes, Assignments, and the focused Boss — showing only what still needs doing and a "things to fix" banner. Optional stuff nudges without nagging.
- Follows the fight automatically. Target a boss (or one of its adds) or walk into its room and your card switches to that encounter. Leaders can also push a boss to the whole raid.
- Build-aware. Because Era stacks elixirs freely, "ready" depends on your spec and role — a Fury warrior and a Protection tank are scored differently. Your spec is auto-detected from your talents (including bear-vs-cat and threat-spec Prot warriors); override it from the gear menu.
- Everyone stays in sync. Roster, assignments, and boss requirements broadcast to the raid and
self-heal if an update is missed.
/rp version auditshows who's on an old build.
The leader window
Four views, toggled in the title bar:
- Roster — plan the eight groups; drag players, lock slots, add benched players, sort the raid.
- Assign — the assignment editor (duties by category, with a live raider preview beneath).
- Boss — pick a boss to see its readiness checks and per-player assignments; add/remove checks and flip required/optional right on the column headers.
- Consumes — a boss-agnostic grid of the common consumables everyone needs.
The personal widget
Enabled by default. It opens on its own when a boss is focused, and shows your Buffs,
Consumes, Assignments, and Boss sections — each listing only what's unmet, or a short
"none" when you're set. The gear in the corner flips to settings, where you can set your spec
(it shows what your talents auto-detect). /rp personal turns the whole feature off if you'd
rather not have it.
Getting started
- Open the window with
/rp. - On the Roster tab, click Pull Current Raid (or add players by hand), then tweak groups.
- On Assign, hit Suggest All for a baseline and adjust.
- Play — target a boss or walk into its room and everyone's card follows. Or view a boss and click Focus Raid to push it to the whole raid deliberately.

Notes
- Built for WoW Classic Era.
- Only players running Raid Planner can be fully tracked; others are buff-scanned when in range and flagged otherwise. Resistances and gear can't be read for other players (an API limit), so those are self-reported.
- Your roster, assignments, boss requirements, spec, and window positions are saved between sessions.
