Main Features

BiS Tooltip
Hover an item to see its EPV score, phase relevance, and matching spec for the currently selected phase. Works on normal item tooltips, chat links, auction house items, and similar item sources.

EPV Gear Score Panel
Open your Character frame or inspect another player to show an EPV Gear Score panel. The default view is compact and color-coded by current-phase readiness, with an optional /bis debug mode for detailed slot-by-slot testing. The panel can be made movable from the TBCA_BIS options and remembers a saved position. Dual-spec handling prefers active talent information and uses explicit fallback scoring for unsupported specs where needed.

AtlasLoot BiS Browser
Browse BiS lists by spec inside AtlasLoot with score badges, phase-aware filtering, hit-capped support, Gems / Enchants / Attachments recommendations, and a Recommended Talents viewer for the current class. The phase selector opens class slots directly on your configured BiS phase (Phase 2 by default).

Recommended Talents
Open AtlasLoot on the TBCA_BIS module and browse curated talent builds for your logged-in class. Builds are generated from maintained source data and rendered in an in-game talent-style viewer. v4.4 adds a Druid Restoration Resto -Dreamstate Improv FF build.

BiS List Tracker
Every AtlasLoot BiS row shows a small marker button. Left-click cycles + -> W (Want) -> H (Have) -> P (Pass); right-click or shift-click clears it. Saved lists live per character under TBCA_BIS_TrackerDB and can be browsed in a dedicated My Saved List AtlasLoot page with slot-by-slot navigation. The top-bar [Lists: ...] menu lets you create, switch, import, export, or delete lists, including Export Current Equipped for a ThatsMyBIS-compatible snapshot of your live gear.

ThatsMyBIS JSON Import / Export
Paste a ThatsMyBIS-style JSON payload into the import popup to fill a new or existing saved list. Imported items default to want. Exports include character metadata, phase, per-slot item ids and names, and status-derived list data.

Drop Rate Tooltips
BiS items with extracted LootDB data show a TBCA drop estimate section listing the top sources and their estimated drop percentages. No external drop database addon is required at runtime.

Remote Gear View (separate addon)
The bundled AtlasLootClassic_TBCA_BIS_Remote adds clickable gear-view links over addon whispers. Send your own gear sheet with /myscore PlayerName (or [myscore] in chat), request another TBCA_BIS user's gear with /bisreq PlayerName, or open the Remote Gear Tools window with /tbcaremote / /bisremote for roster browsing and bulk requests. A [Remote >] button is added to the AtlasLoot title bar, and a dedicated TBCA_BIS Remote Gear Check Interface options panel controls request policy (everyone, guild only, party/raid only, guild or party/raid, or off). Disable the remote addon to opt out without affecting normal inspect scoring.

TBCA Simple Gear Sets (companion addon)
A lightweight, library-free gearset manager. A character-frame icon opens the manager (left-click) or a quick switch menu of saved sets (right-click). Alt-click any paperdoll slot to open a per-slot item picker bar. Save, rename, delete, clear-slot, and assign Manual / Primary / Secondary talent automation. Talent automation schedules delayed retries after spec/talent events so swaps are not dropped while the client settles a spec change. The Enable TBCA SimpleRack gear sets option in TBCA_BIS toggles the UI on or off.

This package includes a bundled AtlasLoot fork. If you already use another AtlasLoot copy or custom fork, avoid running both at the same time, as duplicate or mismatched installs may conflict.

If you prefer to keep your own AtlasLoot fork, install only the TBCA_BIS-specific folders manually instead.

Phase System

Phases 1-5 map to TBC content tiers. Set the active phase in the TBCA_BIS options panel or with /bisphase 1 through /bisphase 5. Tooltip output, inspect scoring, and AtlasLoot lists all follow the selected phase. New installs default to Phase 2; older installs are migrated once.

Commands

  • /bis opens the TBCA_BIS options panel
  • /bis debug toggles inspect debug mode
  • /bis debug on or /bis debug off force debug mode on or off
  • /bis atlas opens AtlasLoot on the TBCA_BIS tab
  • /bis on shows the minimap button
  • /bis off hides the minimap button
  • /bisphase 1 to /bisphase 5 sets the active phase
  • /bishitcap toggles hit-capped mode
  • /bishitcap on|off sets hit-capped mode directly
  • /bispercent toggles percent display
  • /bispercent on|off sets percent display directly
  • /bisstatus prints current settings
  • /myscore prints a local clickable TBCA gear view to chat
  • /myscore PlayerName whispers a gear-view snapshot to that player
  • /bisreq PlayerName (alias /tbcareq) silently requests a snapshot from another TBCA_BIS user
  • /tbcaremote (alias /bisremote) opens the Remote Gear Tools window
  • /bistracker equipped exports your currently equipped gear as ThatsMyBIS-style JSON

About The Gear Score

This addon uses an EPV-based gear model built around class, spec, and item stats in relation to that spec's BiS path for the selected TBC phase.

Unlike many other gear score systems, this is not a simple item-level score. Item level alone can overrate gear that is wrong for the class, wrong for the spec, or just a poor fit for the role. This model is meant to score gear in context instead of rewarding higher item level by itself.

The current data pipeline now derives item placement dynamically from EPV values instead of relying on manually maintained phase-rank columns.

Hit-capped mode is intended for players who already have enough hit from other gear. In that mode, items with extra hit can be valued lower when a hit-capped value is provided. If no separate hit-capped value exists for an item, the addon falls back to its normal EPV value.

Important:

  • Do not treat this score as gospel.
  • This is a gear snapshot, not a player skill score.
  • Skill, rotation, positioning, buffs, consumables, and class utility are not included.
  • A good player with a 50% score can still perform very well.

AtlasLoot Packaging Note

This package includes:

  • a maintained AtlasLootClassic fork
  • the AtlasLootClassic_TBCA_BIS integration module
  • the AtlasLootClassic_TBCA_BIS_Remote remote gear view addon
  • the companion TBCA_Simple_GearSets gear set manager

They are included to provide a known-good integration path and reduce issues from mixed, outdated, or duplicated AtlasLoot installs. The remote and gear set addons can be disabled individually without affecting normal BiS / inspect scoring.

If you install AtlasLoot separately, avoid running duplicate or mismatched AtlasLoot copies at the same time.

Historical Sources

This project builds on years of TBC community theorycraft. Earlier BiS data and item evaluations were, in various cases, derived from, based on, or compared against sources such as Elitist Jerks-era guides, Rawr-era models, MageSim, WarlockSimulatorTBC, WoWSims TBC, multiple public class spreadsheets, archived Shadow Priest resources, and theorycraft shared through class Discord communities.

The current addon also includes substantial original curation, integration, maintenance, UI work, AtlasLoot integration work, and newer EPV-based scoring work by Unforvegan.
