# AetherForge Angler

**Everything a fisherman needs, in one small window.**
For **Classic Era** and **WoW: Forever**.

Type **/afa** or click the bobber icon by your minimap to open it.

## 🎣 Casting and reeling in

- **Double-right-click** the water to cast. No action bar button needed.
- **One-button fishing:** pick a key in Options. Press it to cast, press it again when the bobber splashes to reel in.
- Bobber landed too far away? Point your mouse at it and press the key. Or just press again to recast.
- Only active while you hold a fishing pole. The rest of the time your keys and mouse work exactly as normal.

## 🔊 While you fish

- **Louder splash:** sound effects go up, music and ambient sound go down, so you never miss a bite.
  Hear it even while alt-tabbed.
- **Auto loot** while fishing (optional).
- **Everything goes back** the moment you take your pole off: sound, loot settings, all of it.

## 📍 Fishing pools on your maps

- Fish from a **pool** or **floating wreckage** and the spot is marked by itself.
  Pointing your mouse at it while your bobber is out is enough, even if nothing bites.
- **Blue dots** for fishing pools, **brown dots** for floating wreckage.
- Shown on your **minimap** and on the **world map**, both zone and continent maps.
- Hover a dot to see what it is, how often you've fished it, and when.
- The **Spots** tab lists every spot, for the zone you're in or everywhere.

## 🤝 Share your spots

- **Send to a player:** type a name on the Spots tab and click Send. They get a popup asking to accept,
  and your spots appear on their maps. Nothing shows in chat.
- **Share automatically** (optional, off until you turn it on): swap spots with your guild,
  your group, and players you've grouped with before, quietly in the background.
- **Copy and paste:** copy all your spots as text to post on Discord or a forum,
  and import spots other players have posted.

## 🪝 Lures

- One-click **Lure** button on the Angler bar: puts the best lure your skill allows on your pole.
- Lure timer, and a warning when it wears off.

## 🛡️ Gear

- One click puts on your pole and fishing gear (hat, boots and so on). The same button puts your weapons back.
- Your normal gear is remembered by itself.
- **Attacked while fishing?** Your weapons go back on straight away.

## 📊 Tracking

- **Gold per hour** and **fish per hour.** The clock pauses when you stop fishing.
  Uses Auctionator or TSM prices if you have them, otherwise vendor prices.
- **Catch log:** every catch, where you caught it and what it was worth.
- **Zones:** catches and getaway rate per zone. See where your skill is too low.
- **Skill bar,** your skill bonus, and catches since your last skill point.
- **Rare catch alerts** for anything blue or better.

## 🏆 Events

- **Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza:** countdown to Sunday's contest, your Tastyfish count,
  and an alert when you have enough to win.
- **Nat Pagle's** rare fish checklist.

Right-click the minimap icon to swap gear.

**Nothing is ever left changed:** your key bindings are never touched, and every game setting is put back after fishing.
