Description

OdarIs Overlay

More detail where the ground meets the world.

OdarIs Overlay is an optional add-on for the OdarIs Resource Pack that adds extra vegetation and small surface details to grass blocks.

Instead of changing the main terrain textures, the add-on places additional details over them, helping grass-covered areas feel fuller and less flat while keeping the same enhanced-vanilla style as the Base Pack.

Alpha 0.1

The first release focuses on adding subtle extra detail to grass surfaces.

The overlays are designed to blend naturally with OdarIs terrain rather than completely cover the original textures.

This means you still keep the recognizable look of the Base Pack, with some additional vegetation and surface variation on top.

Requirements

OdarIs Base is required.

Overlay is designed specifically for OdarIs and should be placed above the Base Pack in the Minecraft resource-pack list.

Recommended load order:

30 — OdarIs Overlay
10 — OdarIs Base

Higher-numbered OdarIs packs should be placed above lower-numbered ones.

OdarIs Packs

The OdarIs project is split into a Base Pack and several optional add-ons:

You do not need to use every add-on. Just enable the ones you like.

Resolutions

Random Blocks is available in the same seven resolutions as the Base Pack:

32x • 64x • 128x • 256x • 512x • 1024x • 2048x

Use the same resolution as your OdarIs Base Pack for the most consistent result.

Compatibility

  • Minecraft Java Edition
  • No required mods
  • Works with vanilla Minecraft
  • Compatible with shader packs
  • Designed to work together with other OdarIs add-ons

Shaders are optional. The appearance of the overlays can vary depending on the shader pack and its settings.

Installation

  1. Download OdarIs Base and OdarIs Overlay in the same resolution.
  2. Open Minecraft.
  3. Go to OptionsResource Packs.
  4. Click Open Pack Folder.
  5. Move both .zip files into the resource-pack folder. Do not extract them.
  6. Enable both packs.
  7. Place 30 — OdarIs Random blocks above 10 — OdarIs Base.

Future Updates

Alpha 0.1 is only the beginning.

Future versions will expand the number of supported surfaces and add more details where they fit naturally into the OdarIs style.

The goal will remain the same: add more depth and variation without making Minecraft feel cluttered or unrecognizable.

OdarIs Overlay is optional.
OdarIs Base works normally without it.
