Description
Dandelion X is a continuation of the original Dandelion by Steelfeathers, a charmingly simple pack created around a minimal color palette resulting in textures that flow together effortlessly.
Dandelion X is updated through to 26.1 with additions and improvements added regularly. Includes some textures courtesy of Hallo89 of Dandelion With Mods and DesertDraggon of Dandelion Draggon + Mods Snapshots are typically followed, check during snapshot seasons to see what's going on.
A Vanilla based add-on that modifies the games' core shaders to add stuffs like custom text colors, custom particle colors, custom GUI colors and way more

Vanilla Friendly Custom Item Textures
Since 1.21.5, Mojang have added the ability to add custom item textures (CITs) to items based on component variations. Dandelion X now includes vanilla friendly CITs for stuff like:

Vanilla Fixes
Many Vanilla quirks have been corrected:
Campfires have ash removed when not lit, Cobwebs and Hanging Roots no longer appear to glow in unlit areas, Deepslate Ores have unique textures for the top and bottom faces, Flower Pots have a fixed bottom face, Item Frames and Glow Item Frames have unique borders, fixed Iron Bars' glitchy Z-fighting texture, and Lily Pads no longer appear to float above water
The pack features tons of Optifine improvements like: Custom picks/swords/bow/trident textures based on items enchantments, custom Axolotl Bucket textures based on the color of the Axolotl inside, custom Potion textures and colors based on potion.
Custom GUI for colored Shulkers, Ender Chests, and Villager Trading GUI based on Villager profession level, custom Durability indicator colors, custom Redstone Dust colors and more.
Custom lightmaps for each dimension, custom colormaps for sky, fog, water, underwater, swamp grass and swamp foliage, custom Birch Leaves color, custom loading screens including per dimension loading screens and custom color settings that customize things like Map colors, Sheep colors, Collar colors, custom Spawn Egg colors and more.
Connected textures for Sculk, Copper, Grass Nether Portal, Cut Sandstone, Smooth Sandstone, and Stained and Tinted Glass.
Custom textures based on biome like custom Netherrack and Netherrack Ores for Warped Forests, custom Lily Pad colors in the Mangrove Swamp and custom Grass color in the Swamp, as well as custom Bedrock textures for the Exit Portal in the End.
Dandelion X has some custom textures specifically for use with shaders. Specular Maps are used to give a block emissive properties, reflective properties, or both. Normal Maps introduced 3D effects to blocks, allowing for a parallax effect. In order to enable Specular and Normal Maps, a shaderpack with LabPBR support is necessary, and LabPBR must be enabled. Different shaderpacks interpret LabPBR differently, so Complementary Shaders are highly recommended (More about Complementary below)

Complementary Shaders by EminGTRare recommended. Keep up to date with the shaders development here. If you'd like to play with a similar look to the screenshots on this page, you can find recommended shader setting presets below.
3. Copy ComplementaryShaders_vX.X.zip file into the "shaderpacks" folder found in the Minecraft directory. (You can go to Options... > Video Settings... > Shaders... and click the Shaders Folder button to get to the correct folder instead)
4. In Minecraft, Navigate to Options... > Video Settings... > Shaders... > Shader Options...
5. Change any setting in order to automatically generate a .txt file with the same name as your shader in your shaderpacks folder.
6. Navigate back to the shaderpacks folder and find the newly generated .txt file with the same name as your shaders.
7. Replace all the text within the ComplementaryShaders_x.x.zip.txt file with the text in the High or Balanced preset found in the spoilers button below.

·REMOVED CORE SHADERS TWEAKS This pack originally included several modifications to various internal elements of the game (such as Text Color, Sign Text Colors, Menu GUI Colors, Cloud Fog, and transparency for solid blocks, among other adjustments). However, these adjustments were not very compatible with users using Sodium or those on Mac. As a result, these adjustments have been split from the main pack release. -Core Shaders tweaks can still be downloaded and installed separately: Dandelion X Addon: Core Shaders 1.0.

v1.19 Release 2 focuses on a few areas in the game, including; ·OCEAN MONUMENTS with new textures for Guardians, Elder Guardians, Dolphins, new animated Sea Grass, Tall Sea Grass and Kelp textures, Normal and Specular Maps for all Prismarine blocks (Optifine), new Water and Underwater Colormaps (Optifine), new emissive glow with Specular Maps for Glow Squid (Optifine) and new particles for Glow Squid.
·THE END with a new End Portal texture with custom internal shader colors, new connected texture for the End Exit Portal Frame (Optifine), new End Lightmap colors (Optifine), a new End Sky texture, and multiple randomized End Stone textures.
·THE NETHER with a new look for Netherrack with randomized textures including a custom look found only in the Warped Forest biome (Optifine), new connected textures that add a subtle glow at the edges of Nether Portals (Optifine), reworked texture for the Magma Slime, and tweaked the Nether's Lightmap to make it darker overall and to make lava appear to emit more light, further (Optifine). Also replaced lots of emissive textures for Specular Maps instead to fix issues with textures while not using shaders.
·DEEP DARK with lots of improvements to Sculk textures including the addition of animations to Sculk Vein textures and a rework of randomizations and rotations to Sculk block textures. Improvements have been made when running Optifine and shaders with LabPBR enabled (Complementary shaders recommended) including the addition of Normal Maps that add depth with subtle parallax effects and Specular maps that add a slight glow and reflection to many Sculk blocks. A rework of lightmaps (Optifine) has also been done to balance out lighting in dark unlit areas and the addition of a new nightvision lightmap to make lighting while using Nightvision potions more natural instead of full on bright.
More generally, this update also includes a new Cloud texture map, a new lightmap that balances lighting and shadows (Optifine), reworks of colormaps for sky, fog, water and underwater colors (Optifine), adds overhanging Moss Carpet model and textures, adds connected Stained and Tinted Glass textures (Optifine), 3 new Paintings, and reworks quite a few particles, including new Campfire Smoke, Nether Portal particles, and Mycelium particles.
This update also dives into customizing a lot of the hardcoded GUI and some particle colors. You'll find a custom look for ToolTips, Text Colors, World Loading animation and various other GUI backgrounds, recolored Mycelium and Crying Obsidian particle colors along with recolored Leads while attached to an entity.
*Specular and Normal maps only work while shaders are active with LabPBR enabled if the shaderpack supports it. Included Specular and Normal maps are intended to be used with Complementary Shaders. Check the Dandelion X Curseforge page for a custom Complementary Shaders settings file that is exhaustively customized to enhance Dandelion X's beauty.
