Apocalypse Phase

Configured parasite apocalypse with hordes and lycanites.

How many days can you survive in this madness? Modpack is designed for actually scary hardcore experience and progression competition against devastating parasites. Modpack content is relatively simple to understand, being mainly focused on Lycanites and Run and Scape:Parasites

 

 I've flourished my habit of working for a project for too long and now the last update is dramatically huge. Testing and feedback is required. Do it via personal message.

 

Hordes of progressively stronger parasites attack every 10 days (starting at day 11) and it is crucial to keep up with progression. There are 4 general progression phases:

1) Getting started - Exploring (make an atlas (  = )) and getting gear (days 0-25)

2) Getting stronger - Exploring, making artifacts (baubles), crafting lycanites equipment, reforging gear, enchanting, building a reinforced safehouse (days 25-50)

3) Preparing for Apocalypse - Getting best lycanites equipment, taming pets and constant progressing in armor/weapon making, gathering reinforced blocks for the safehouse. Hordes outside the safehouse are deadly (days 50-90)

4) Apocalypse Phase - May the force be with you. Hordes outside and inside the safehouse are deadly (days 90+)

 


 

Content:

My modpack design is for it to be Quantity<Quality and being simple to get used to the modpack's content. I went through hundreds of known and less known mods and modpacks to hand pick suitable quality mods. Even though there are almost a hundred of chosen mods, vast majority of them are quality of life, generation, configuration, tweaking oriented. Actual item oriented content mods are:

Main Configurations:

  • All armor & weapons and other items introduced by mods are rebalanced. Some recipes also are changed to alter modpack's progression
  • Lycanites equipment massively rebalanced (useful). The harder to get, the more powerful the equipment is.
  • Defiled lands revamped: all armor sets grant regeneration now, Golden wyrm scales now are craftable and weapons are rebalanced (useful).
  • All items have a quality modifier that can be changed in Reforging Station (reforging requires the corresponding material of that item. (etc. Arrow quiver with Leather, Iron sword with Iron ingots, universally, all items can be reforged with Twisted fibers and Gore Parts).
  • Implemented Ancient Dreadnautilus and Ancient Overlord boss altars. They can be found in the End
  • Undying totem, Bedrock are craftable now.
  • Horses are callable now (in controls) and Traveling Merchants stay if a Block of emerald is given.
  • Bear in mind that parasites are capable of destroying blocks. Hardness of 5 is enough against the vast. majority. However, during the apocalypse, Hardness of 20 is recommended. Blocks that have Hardness of 5 and 20 have tooltips and can be easily searched in JEI by typing @Hardness5 and @Hardness20.
  • Modpack has massive amount of generated structures. Majority of them are parasitic thematic!

 


 

Notes:

  • Optimized to be very performance light modpack
  • Optimized to be Quantity < Quality, making it relatively simple to navigate all items
  • Optifine is not supported by Curseforge, so install it here.
  • Do not forget to activate Resource packs and shaders (only work with Optifine)
  • Essential mod is superior for anyone who wants to play multiplayer free of charge.
